I like the simple break down of the classes, what I am always getting confused about is the difference between class 4A/B/C.

Class 4A and 4B - AFVs, Class 4C - Combat Support Systems including AA and AT guns...

Where SPG should be entered, like WWII Marder, Grille, Jagdpanzer or modern Paladin, Dana, AMX 30 or various makeshift AA and AT guns mounted on tracked, semi-tracked chassis and so on? They are after all, only fancy artillery pieces, just guns on wheels...

Just wondering if the Class 4C meant to be 'towed' AA and AT guns

As for the Joe's question, it's not about clubs, it's about competitions, one club can have 2 or more separate competitions - for example our big IPMS Nationals and small regional Modelling Munster. You can enter same models already featured in MM to Nationals and vice versa, but you can't enter the same models into the same competition twice.
What it means is, that, say, my 'model X' will be entered to 2014 IPMS Nationals, Telford, Modelling Munster and 2015 IMSS Show. The round is done, I will have to build a new one for the 2015 season...

Good question Filip
I think marder, Grille etc are AFVs- they are armoured after all. so 4AThings like a pak 75 mounted on an Sdkfz 10 would be 4C
I've asked on theIMSS page to clear it up?

Okay Filip here is the answer:

Quote:

as with many types of models, some will meet the criteria for multiple categories, though they may only be entered into one. SPGs (IF ARMOURED) can be entered into 4A OR 4B depending on period, OR maybe entered into 4C based on their combat support role. The exact same applies to ad-hoc or field modified AA/AT systems. Also, if a modeller has scratchbuilt and or converted these models themselves they have the option to enter them into Class 4D.

So where ever you think you have the best shot basically
