It's simple really:

Any wheeled military vehicle designed since the end of WWII qualifies for entry.
The main aim is to have fun.
A start picture and at least two (preferably more) WiP pictures in your own build thread under this GB section of the forum must be posted and a final completed picture (or more) in the GB Gallery at the end
You must have fun! Anyone found not enjoying themselves will be kicked out of the campaign
Builds must not be started in advance. Any extra enhancing, scratch-building, AM sets are allowed....
But only if they add to your level of fun.
As many entries as you want are allowed, but only one banner will be awarded at the end
More entries means more fun.

And there will be a prize! All completed entries will be entered into a totally random draw for a prize (which will not be another AFV). It's not a race, it's not a competition.....it's FUN!

Builds must not be started in advance.
I'm really looking forward to this.

Can I atleast wash the kit before 18th May? Like the 17th May.

I suppose opening the bags, fondling the plastic and then washing the drool off would be permitted in advance of the start date. But no cutting, glueing, painting.....

Drooling good. Cutting, painting, glueing bad. Before May 18th. Sounds good to me.

Got these two en-route to go with my Gaz Tiger:

Gonna be 'interesting' to paint that new digital camo they were wearing in Crimea. Also have to think of some sort of base for this...and to clear my desk of all the stuff that is currently clogging it preparing stuff for the IMSS show!

That's right, you can start up your engines... or start building them first.

Also the next poll is up for your consideration.

But that goes against the rule about it being fun! Unless any of the lads want to admit to enjoying the occasional flogging?

What's the end date for Modern Wheels GB again?

Might be good to include as a sticky the start and end dates in future GBs as a reminder.

Cheers,
Dermot

Anyone good at graphics who can do a banner for those who complete the GB? Something similar to the sci-fi one below. I'm sure Sean W can give us the exact size requirements.

Thanks
Sean

As long as it's small it's okay to use.

The Sci-Fi banner, to use as an example, is 350 pixels wide and 19 pixels in height.

Another three months passes by and another group build comes to a close with some really nice finished entries despite the Summer lethargy. Unfortunately the lethargy was too strong for me... :ermm:

Anyway, congratulations to everyone who finished on time and commiserations to those who didn't. The group build area will be partially closed from here on out preventing new topics from being created but anyone who was in the middle of their build log may still post to it and finish out their build for all to see. :>

Congratulations to all those who completed the GB on schedule. I hope you enjoyed it and had fun participating. Thanks also to those who didn't get finished in time. At least you participated and please do finish your builds when you can and share them anyway. It was a pleasure and an honor to lead this GB and I think we've even got some converts to the dark side out of it.

As for the prize: at next Saturdays Dublin meet the 6 finishers, excluding myself, will be entered into a draw. I think this is the fairest way as it was not intended as a competition.

Now, on to the next GB but I do have a sinking feeling about it ;)

I have to concur with Sean and say well done to all who participated.  While I wasn't involved I did enjoy following the builds. Its always nice to new targets on the horizon. ;) ;) ;)
As Sean says don't stop now, get that model finished and posted on to your link!
And hey you guys who didn't finish your model in the WW1 aircraft GB I haven't forgotten about you, like Sean we'll be coming to get ya! :bat:
Cheers
