Ah seatbelts- nice to see them included in this kit- they will look cracking in place. Sadly one thing Meng forgot in their GAZ interior!

Sorry, Sean, but I have to....
This is one of the basic tools I am using when taking photos for the forum - or newsletter - or anything, basically:

Macro and Super Macro pre-sets makes all the difference without going too mad on other equipment. Although you can get a simple tripod from Argos for a tenner.
I know, it may seems like a lot of money, which could be spent on a plenty of new kits, nevertheless, investment of 80 yoyos will make your hard work pop out and show it clearly and sharply to the forum readers. I, personally, don't think, that those colourful smudges showing up on the screen are the best representation of your hard work.

Even better  ! Nice one. The rest of the stowage looks great too- plenty of color and interest.

It could be argued then that you don't actually have one, the kids do! Sounds like an ideal Father's Day present then... :)

Too true Jason.....

The inside is just about complete:

A little bit of clean-up and light weathering then can close her up and start on the outside!

Nice work Sean,

But wonder why you like modern armour so much when the phone is Cold War which an upgrade would help improve photos when the kids borrow their camera ;)

Never Sean ;)

Just seen that Cold War relic you call a phone enough to know you need to upgrade to Modern :)

As seriously that camera doesn't do them justice.

I am not only smart-arse, but old fashioned one at that... To me, telephone/mobile is for making calls and sending text messages. For internet browsing there's computer and camera serves very well when taking photos. :-"

The top & bottom is now all attached and started adding all the little bits & pieces....there are a lot.
Because of the slats on the windows I'll have to keep them seperate for painting.
The whole thing has gone together very well with no real fit issues.

Windos with PE slats made up but need to be painted before the "glass" goes in as they can't be masked. The thoughts of all that painting is just putting me off.....

Tell me about it- I've been at the GAZ for the last three days! Good luck with the painting mate- its looking ace without it I must say. Just wondering, are the greenish areas some filler being used? Was there a few fit problems with the build? Are you just going for the standard sand color like the interior?

Hi Karl, yes, there was a bit of filler needed in a few spots:
There is an opening that is filled with a plaine part on the front sides of the hood. This is to allow a later version I expect as the Maxx-Pro-Dash has a vent in this location. I just needed to remove the panel lines after the part was inserted.
The curved wheel well tops are two parts. A bit awkward to fit and I ended up with a really small gap one side and a step the other. Need filler sust to get a nice smooth curve.
A slight gap on one side where the rear wall is fitted to the side walls. Nothing major.

Colour will be just plain sand and even the weathering will be minimal. Most photos of these show them in pretty pristine condition or blown to bits but with the crew compartment intact. I'm going for the first option!

One quick photo to show painting has begun:
