As promised, here are a selection of my photos of this show. These concentrate on the models on display on other tables - I have already uploaded photos
of our own IPMS Ireland table on the main events page for the show, here:- http://forum.ipmsireland.com/topic/10310655/1/?x=30#new

First of all, the aircraft:-

and some fine aircraft dioramas:-

One interesting point about many of these aircraft models was that they had already won prizes in various modelling competitions, and in the case of one
exhibitor, the medals were actually on display beside the kits concerned, as can be seen. One or two of the models we had seen last year at D2, but the
bulk of them have yet to be seen at IPMS shows.

Next post will give some of the selection of tanks and other vehicles.

At this point, I am running up to the limit of photos for a single post, so the following post will include the vehicle dioramas and a couple of more vehicles on display.

Some more vehicles:-

Most of the vehicles were in 1/35th, with a few in 1/76th, but here is a close-up of two that were in "braille" scale:-

And then there was this lovely "old" Citroen 2CV, which won a weathering prize at the 2013 IMSS show:-

To finish, there were a couple of fine figures, figure dioramas and intricately painted busts on show:-

As noted by Pat elsewhere, there were a couple of Star Trek ships, from the Original Series, on display, all lit up.....
(I had assumed that they were Khitomer's, but as he noted, he was at a Star Trek (or should that be Trekkie?) convention in London at the same time.)

During the early afternoon, a large amount of additional space had to be found at the show, when one gentleman arrived with this HUGE diorama, based
on Operation Market Garden in 1944. This came in five very large parts that fitted together.

This is a general view of four of the parts, lined up together (the fifth part had to be placed behind):-

Below you will find more detailed close-ups of parts of the diorama:-

Overall, an excellent model show, with (as you can see from these photos) a very high quality of modelling to be seen.

That's all folks!

I'm afraid there weren't any there Michael. If I remember correctly Chris, who was running the show, said there were only a few ship modellers in the area.
