There are at least another two Boeing Kadets in the boxes like wise the Boeing P26 pea shooter

I'm saving this Hansa Brandenberg W29 until (1) I feel confident enough to build it and (2) to use my recently purchased spray gun.

When I get a chance I'll take some more photo's of the stash in the attic.

Very true Joe! Don't get me wrong, I'm very impressed with your stash and the array of kits, it's just having 10 of the same all beside each other that caught my eye! Look forward to seeing the 'JM' Circus on a table in a year or two (or three?) :)

Hi Eagle Eye,
Trust you to notice the old Airfix Ark Royal!
Re the 1/32 Hansa Brandenburg, that will have to wait for a while. Don't want to jump from 1/72 & 1/144 straight to 1/32, I have a couple of 1/48 kits to do first! Also wouldn't dream of hand painting it so will have to begin using my air brush.
So don't hold your breath waiting for this one to appear on my 'in' tray!
Cheers

Heil Mickey!
My stock of 15 kits will keep me busy for another 5 years and I only wish I was as optimistic about my lifespan as is Joe :O With pile like that, I think, I'd have to be fresh and sane and able to keep them building, until at least, 350, give or take 10 years.

Stock = manageable amount of unbuild kits
as opposed to
Stash = hoarding of kits of various origin and questionable quality often bought in momentary act of madness. Most kits in the stash will be released from brand new moulds before the boxes in the current stash will be ready for opening, if ever...

I have been following this for a whle now.Its nice to know there are others just like me . I am afraid that I too am a closet hoarder. I will have to live to be 200 to get through mine.

I do have the solution to the excessive stash, the stash slasher.
Mine is 5 years old and he builds at a rate of 10 kits a year and I have been able to dump alot the dodgey kits on him in the last 6 months. Soemtimes he even brings a friend around to help.

The house is strewn with various hurricanes and spitfires and the odd Su27, minus wings of course and painted in the most interesting of colours. We recently built up an old Monogram A4 Skyhawk and I reggretted not building it my self cos that is one sweet looking aircraft.
Anyway the stash slasher has a sister and she enjoys its as well, which is why there is a pink tiger tank lurking around under the bed soemwhere.

A pink Tiger tank is still a btter result than an unbuilt kit. :dev:

Ditto on the stash slasher, I have a couple of those and they are happy to have a go at anything that I am prepared to part with(scacrifice),
and they are wonderfuly enthuisastic in applying some very psychedelic camo schemes to a multitude of subjects.
Long may it last.

My Revell Stash, and don't start Jason. Some of you may never have seen these boxes, especially the Collectors Choice. Early for their day these kits had 3 decal options.

I like the idea of an F-86 in IAC markings Joe, might have to have a go at one of those.

Stash part 7.

My Roden stash with a little bit of duplication!

Posted Image

Posted Image

These are in my odd ball box! (no toilet bowl humour here please).
The Beech Nut Fokker is unbelievably bad. Should really post a picture if I get a chance.
The Russian M5's are really a Russian copy of the Machi M5 flying boat and not a bad looking kit

Posted Image

That's all for now folks. now let me see that leaves me with Airfix, Eduard and Pegasus to go plus some more odds and ends.
Cheers

Joe - if that is a "little bit of duplication", what is a LOT of duplication.....???

Roden - Mmmmm - I do hope that those kits are easier to put together than Roden's Civil aircraft, and WW2 aircraft. The He 111 E from the Spanish Civil War is widely acknowledged as the most frustrating kit ever made (at least for aircraft modellers in 1/72nd that is)... here is a build log on how one guy tried to get it to work:-

http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=157281

I purchased a copy of the kit on evil bay about 6 years ago, without knowing about it.

Luckily, I managed to offload/sell the kit later...

Unless there is a replacement at some stage, this might be the one aircraft from the Legion Condor that I might never get around to doing.

Stash Part 8.

Couldn't resist a sale in Marks where they were selling off some water damaged stock fro Cork, I think. The 1/48 Triplanes were not from Marks.

Posted Image

Some more Odds and sods.
The Veeday kit is one of the first short run injection models as far as I know to enter the market. This one was purchased in the mid to late 70's I think. They were actually manufactured in Ireland as far as I know. The bugger went out of business but I tracked him down and got my money back. In hind sight I should have taken some of the kits he offered me as I see them coming up now and then for crazy prices on EBAY.
Posted Image

After Veeday as far as WW1 short run kits came Merlin. Now we are talking about the late 70's early 80's I think. A big improvement on the Veeday kits.
Posted Image

Another step forward was Chris Gannons Pegasus Models, OK his early kits were a bit rough. I had a standing order with Chris for 2/3 of each kit as they came on line. Remember that this was way before the days of Roden/Toko and Eduard.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Then as technology improves we got this from Pegasus, another step forward.

Well I don't think my stash stacks up to much compared to some of you guys but I thought I'd show some pics anyway.

Posted Image

This is the main bit- one or two of those kits are half-built or part built and there's a bunch of scenic stuff, airbrush equipment etc in there too. The pink towel ring box is full of oil paints and the Hasegawa Apache box is full of Humbrol paints.

Posted Image

This box thingy holds most of the rest of the stash.

Posted Image

Mostly figures in this drawer- plastic ones are used for spares and anatomy swaps, equipment etc. The bit at the front is mostly resin figures. Mostly all 1/35 too.

Posted Image

Not entirely sure what exactly is in here (see how organized the whole thing is?)- think there are some busts underneath all that scenic stuff.

Posted Image

Some more scenic items, fabric flags, a box for an electric screwdriver and an old BMD-1 kit that I think has a resin figure and some etch in it.

Posted Image

Some old citadel paints, a Meng pickup and a Meng road barrier set.

Thats pretty much it. I have some more scenic stuff lying around and one shelf queen (E-100 Krokodil) and Hobbyboss' Dana artillery piece.

:> !
