Joe...you don't mean to suggest I should...buy more kits?

:> !

There is actually one aircraft and one sub in there- the sub is under the BM-21 and the F-16 is over on the left. Oh...there's also a Revell Commanche hiding underneath that pack of wheels in the middle!

That's nice, Joe.

More T9's! Mark had brought one along at the Dublin Chapter meeting two weeks ago, and now two more....Soon we will have all of the IAC code numbers covered.

Definitely time to get rid of the old Brigade Models conversions kits....

Sorry Sean,
But if you look very carefully the P-26 has a lot of strings, so I make it 50%. :P Na Na Na Na Na. :-"

Nice haul there Vincent - a general predominance of RAF and USAF there, I notice - esp. Spitfires!

Inventories are a good idea - I have done an Excel Spreadsheet (that I designed myself) for the stash - current number (not counting those started) is 323.....

As per Philip's post earlier in the thread...

I'm one behind.

On a related point - do giant stashes qualify the owner for psychiatric assistance :dev: ? Looking at the pics shown I was thinking either: "I have one of those or that looks interesting I must get one"

Well..

If you wish to offload some of your stashes, remember that the next Dublin Chapter meeting, on Saturday 21st May, will be our annual Chapter Kitswop. Bring anything along that you want to sell or, better still, make arrangements here on the forum to buy (or sell, as long as you are a club member....) some of your excess stash and bring it along on the day.

Robert - my total is now...386 (not counting two purchased yesterday at the IMSS show.....)

Ooooh that came around quickly .Pre advertised stuff at keen to sensible prices sells very well .I find lately that I'm less inclined to sell anything I'm not CERTAIN I won't build . I think most modellers must have an inherent sense of immortality .Or are other past times / hobbies similar ? Maybe it's time to acknowledge building and collecting ( or as Nikki from Veteranus Models in UK calls them ....us.....'hoarders' ) as two distinct hobbies ? A major online survey of around 500 modellers revealed three figure stashes not that unusual .I think I'm in high double digits .

...that's what's called long term planned revenge on our children.

Can you imagine their faces after discovering 'that' pile of useless plastic hidden in the most impossible areas all over the place during house clearing? Priceless.

Philip,
I'm really not trying to compete with anyone, the aim is stash reduction (if you believe that I'll tell you another one... ;) )

Not bad... If you decide, down the line, to get rid of that Jagdtiger. I wouldn't mind to be first in the queue for that, still playing with the idea of 8.8cm conversion

Nice try Filip but that's a keeper - I've an Eduard etch set, an Atak zimmerit set, a replacement gun barrel and Model Kasten tracks for that one :D . In fact, they're all keepers and I will build them all.

Paul Walsh also has designs on my stash given he is the main cause of it. "You'll never build them all - I'll make you an offer..."

Nice stash !Preference for the 'blue' / German side (?) I'd say ( apologies in advance to Pat /Parkadge) that for every Sherman /Spitfire kit built there are 2-6 times as many Tigers /Fw190s or Bf109s...I think there's a 'perception' that the German stuff is 'cooler' .Maybe because it was more exotic growing up when less detailed info was available (?)

John,
That's a fair enough assessment although I do have a pile of Mosquitos (7) and Hurricanes (5) hidden somewhere around the place...in short reasonably eclectic but a definite bias toward Germany 1939-45 :adolf: .
