New Award for D3

Curtsey of Cross & Cockade International

Posted Image

Having been in consultation with the Cross & Cockade committee in the U.K. they have very kindly agreed to sponsor an award at our National Championships this year. The award is for the WW1 aircraft in any scale that is judged best in show. The award will be in the form of a Certificate of Merit from Cross & Cockade and a free subscription to their excellent quarterly magazine for 2015.
Our WW1 aircraft GB was carried out this year, which is the 100th anniversary of the beginning of WW1. Having been impressed with our WW1 aircraft group build they are hoping for a large turnout of WW1 aircraft in our National Championship so let’s not disappoint them. If we have a good turnout they will continue the award on an annual basis.
If there are any questions in relation to this please feel free to ask them.
Check out their website at www.crossandcockade.com

Rags plane galore!

Nice to see commemorative award like that being introduced - and even if it should be for one year only. Great news :>

Ah Joe, you don't need to go all :adolf: on us - I'm sure folks are so proud of their creations that they will bring them along to the show - if not to the competition, there will be space for them on the Dublin Chapter or Mid-West Branch tables....
