Darn!

Missed it too. I only have the mags from 2007/8, when I got back into the hobby, and a few that I managed to buy from George Norman (georgeconna) when he was offloading (he of ISM fame). It would have been nice to plug gaps....

Lesson 2: click on the forum every day....

Thanks a million Sean!Just got seven issues @£1 each and postage was v. reasonable at £4.50 (I reckon they will be making a loss on that -you wouldnt even send ONE mag to UK for that from here-they are surprisingly heavy)Pity exchange rate inc fee is down to 76.5 still 15.50 euro for seven new mags is great .

Got a Paypal refund email and was sure they'd backed out of order on grounds of low postage charged but it was just a quid for one of the seven issues out of stock refunded so looks like they're on the ball !

Beat me to it !Yeah , I dont think I will be tempted this time as I got most of the ones I was keenest on last time at the cheaper rate .Actually might have a closer look at the Scale Military Modeller back issues...

Current issue has an article on a Sherman 'close support' version used in Italy .

http://www.sampublications.com/magazines-subscriptions-renewals/scale-military-modeller-international/latest-issue/scale-military-modeller/prod_698.html

By the way the SAM Combat Colours series books are OBSCENELY in depth .I have one based on B.O.B (Western Front) Bf109s and it has on the high side of 150-200 colour profiles ....an Osprey Aircraft of the Aces has around 40 !

Is it 50% off the already discounted prices on the website?

Look like a very detailed magazines, might consider getting a couple of copies.

Any issues that you'd particularly recommend?

Is there anything you are particularly interested in?
I have quite a few of the digital copies of these so I could let you know how well they cover what you might be interested in.

Most of the mags are around £2 sterling , not THAT good a deal considering they go for £1 at other times in the year .

Particularly WW2 armour: Russian, American & German. Also I'd be looking at gaining some information on dioramas. Broad enough subject base there haha. Wouldn't mind learning about Aircraft too as it's a subject I know relatively little on. If you could point me in the direction of just a few well regarded copies that'd be fantastic. :)

I think if you check out the February 2015 issue of Scale Military Modeller International it has a fair bit of what you are looking at covered and should give you a good idea of what the magazine is like.

I have from Issue 1 somewhere about the place they were never any use to me. Next time I am heading west I will try and find room in the car or SMW 2015 maybe?
