Hi guys just wondering the best way to unglue some wings. the kit i am on is the Airfix 1/48th Hawk T mk1. the kit was sent out with warped wings and so i email airfix and because i did not get reply after about 9 days i decided to stick wings together and see i i could straighten them. airfix replied about 2days after gluing the wing and have sent me out top replacements hence the need to unglue wings. i used Tamiya extra thin cement.Murfv kit also had same problem so check your stash.

Jeez, that's a tough one there Stephen...prising them apart very slowly might work...but the danger with that is you might not get an even separation of the wing halves from each other and be left with a lump of plastic where some part of the wing was.

Or is it the fit of the wing to the fuselage? That's probably going to be even harder...Don't envy you on that one.

Good luck!

Cut them off with razor blade saw along the panel lines and butt-joint glue the new ones.
If the Tamiya glue works on 'welding' principle there's a very good chance that you'd rip off bits of plastic from the fuselage as well if trying to wiggle those out. Not sure what the breakdown of parts is in that kit, so can't see any other solution.

Yep, but that's for superglue, which works on slightly different principle than dissolvent glues. Worth a try, I suppose, if nothing happens it still will be handy for those superglue stains...
