I know it's short notice but I'm going to the Air Corps archive in the morning. I'm taking the train to Hueston and I was wondering what the quickest way out to Cathal Brugha Barracjs would be? Taxi, bus, LUAS?

Thanks in advance

Archive not really a museum. By appointment. I am doing research for a masters degree. Didn't think it was that far out. It is near St. Mary's College I think

Whats the Master's topic if its not confidential?By the look of the map its a fair aul walk unless very fit and both ways would be epic .I guess weather relevant too .And if carrying laptop/notepad etc .Taxi fares in total 20-30 in total?

No need for a taxi Liam which might take you the scenic route :ermm: Get the bus or Luas into the city centre and then get any of the following buses to rathmines 15,15a,15b,14,140,65,65b,83. http://www.dublinbus.ie/Route-Planner/
It is behind St Mary's College. I don't know how much the Luas into town costs but the busfare from city centre to Rathmines will be €2.35 each way.

By the way there is a museum there but limited to Barrack's history I think. Not sure of the opening hours but worth a look

I can't really go into detail but the Air Corps forms a platform for my research. Once done, I'll be freer to discuss it openly.

I need to interview ex-Air Corps personnel from the late '40s and early 50s. If anyone knows anyone who might be interested in taking part, let me know. The sooner the better.

Thanks guys for the advice. I'll try the bus and see how we get on :)

LOL... just a funny observation....

The Topic header says Huestion... where as the opening post says Hueston... I believe the actual name of the station is Heuston...

I only say this because my surname Huston and I am forever having my name spelt in many variations.
Veni, Vidi, Velcro...I came, I saw, I stuck around.
