Kit crindle; Christmas joy for one and all

Ah the issue for me is being in Germany really. I'd have to use Amazon or something similar for the gift and with the cost of delivery, I think an airfix starter set is all I could get for someone! If I'm back in Ireland next year, I'd be on for it though!

So, just to recap, the general plan is that all the names go into a hat, and whatever name you get you spend approx. €20 on a kit or kits for them? Maybe for those who do have stashes, they could just donate approx. €20 worth of kit or kits from the stash, i.e. it doesn't have to be a brand new kit? Then, once you have the kit, you either give it to the person at the Christmas Dubin Branch meeting, or post it to them?

Is that about right? Just making sure I have the right concept. Must admit, I think it's a great idea Simon, fair play...

That's pretty much the plan Jason. I hate to be stuck on this but I'm sticking to my guns about getting a new kit for someone rather than removing it from the stash. It puts everyone on a level playing field.
No sense in person A buying person B a brand new shiny kit only for person A to get a dusty old kit from the stash. I'm more than happy to figure things out a bit better for next year but this year. I'm sticking to it. I'm going to be at the Aviation fair on Sunday so I'll be better able to explain it and sort out the final details.
And yep that's the idea, either post it down or exchange at the Porterhouse over food. I also have a surprise in the works but it's a bit off just yet.

No problem Ken.
If everyone taking part could pm me a preference in what kits you like as soon as you can. I can pass them on to whoever gets you in the crindle. Please and thanks guys! :>

Em I suppose I forgot that part. I didn't take into account when post people should open. The original plan was for on the 20th at the meeting to exchange and open. I guess if you get a gift in the post then it's up to yourself when you open it. Right away or at the meeting if you go to it.
