VERY IMPORTANT- if you havent filled out your entry form you can download it now http://www.ipmsireland.com/Events.html. Entry forms will also be available on the day.

When you hand it in tomorrow you'll be given a card with a unique entry number and on this card you fill in all the details about your model, which kit you used, what you added, if anything, in terms of scratchbuilding, aftermarket details, different decals etc.

If you don't put it on the card how will the judges know. This can be the difference between winning a prize or giving out about the judges later on in the bar :bonk:

Amen to that.

Can't agree more after enjoyable evening spent in company of un-named people over a pint and toothbrush glass...

Many thanks to all who attended, entered in the competition, purchased from our traders, sold or purchased from our kitswop, and - most importantly - those who volunteered to help out at the show over the last two days. Thanks also to our traders for supporting us.

A particular thank you to those who gave of their time and talent in the judging yesterday - 200 models, all assessed and ranked and some excellent creations awarded or commended as a result.

Great venue, nice location and a great vibe.

Now home, just beginning to recover, and looking forward to fondling some of the plastic that I bought, to replace the empty spaces in the stash that I cleared to sell in the kitswop.

Had a great day yesterday at the show it was brilliantly laid out and there was some stunning models on display my favourite though was the 1/32 Horton had some amazing detail on it plus I picked up some kits from kit swop and off the traders I think the venue is ideal great to get to and great parking I'm looking forward to next year already

Really enjoyed the show. First time I took part in it and it was a really good experience. Great to view and appreciate the time and effort people put into their models. Very high standard, kicking myself now I wasn't able to snap a couple of pictures on the first day. Got a handful on the 2nd day. One thing I think would be awesome is that during the prize giving there's a projector showing pictures of the winning kit. I'd make it easier for people like me who arn't that knowledgeable on the model names ;). Great show folks, looking forward to next year now. My favorite was the Tiger tank diorama with the crew taking photographs & in second was the US paper ship model. Couldn't imagine the patience involved in building that, top marks.

I know Philip has thanked the judges but I want to thank them again especially those who were doing it for the first time and those that worked with them. Special mention to Michael M who together with John Heraty judged four classes in a row😛 next year I'll only ask you to judge the humorous section Michael😉

I should have some for next year as this year I just missed out on finishing one for the show same for my daughter she just about finished her dinosaurs but I'm glad I didn't rush what we were building because then I would have been disappointed with the end results I'd of haven to sacrifice some of things I want to try out weathering wise on the plane to get it ready for the show and then I taught to hell with it I'll enter it next year :) I picked up a couple 1:72 magisters identical kits in the kit swap one for me and one for Layla so we'll build them together that way I can show her a step by step process of building a model plane which will be fun for both of us so I'd say she'll definitely have something for next year aswell cheers

I have to add my congrats to the organisers and all who took part, it was well run and a great venue. Some excellent builds on display, both on the competition and club tables. Lots of good bargains to be had as well, as my slowly growing stash can testify to!

Finally, a special congratulations to everyone who was successful in the competition, especially our own Dermot and Barry for their well deserved People's Choice award for their 'Watching the Bear' diorama.

I should have the few pictures I took up on the photo log section soon...

Thanks Barry and well done yourself for sticking with that Bear - and agreeing to my crazy idea!

In all the commotion yesterday, I think I left a built kit behind.....did anyone pick up a U.S. Coastguard helicopter ??

Thanks (fingers crossed)
