Heil Mickey!
The time of this show is approaching fast and I wonder, are there any plans in place for this one?

Not too much of info on the IMSS web page, not too much of info on the Gesichtsbuch neither re classes and general organisation of that event.
I even had to ask what's the story with parking for travelling folk, sure, to take the tram is the best option . . . from Limerick, with a pile of boxes with models inside and 4 heavy boxes full of books for Diarmuid . . . that could be fun :D

So wonder if anyone knows a bit more? :>

Hi Filip,
All I know is that it's on 9 & 10th May in the Hilton at Charlemont Bridge, from 9-5 both days.
I think in previous years any competition entries need to be on the tables from 1pm on the Saturday.

As far as parking goes, best asking the hotel about that one I'd say.

Not much info alright, but if it's the same as last year, then the best options for travel, coming by car from outside Dublin, is to go southbound along the M50 and come off at Sandyford where there is a park and ride car park (very reasonable price - €4 for 24 hours) and then take the LUAS to the Charlemont stop, which is just above the hotel entrance. There is very limited car parking on the surrounding streets, and it is pay and display with a rate of (I think) €2.30 per hour.

I did check out the hotel for parking last year, to be told that is was for residents only.

There is a loading bay outside, so if you are travelling up with someone else, then you could off load the stuff and then drive out to Sandyford and LUAS it back, and vice-versa on the following day.

In terms of the competition, I recall that it's €10 per entrant (not per model), and that you register them by 12.30 or so.

If its the same as last years parking outside was handy (and maybe even free) on the Sunday morning but might well be harder Saturday .

Yes it is, Karl

There may be free parking on Sunday, John, if you can find it. There sure wasn't any on the Saturday!

All the info on the IMSS show is on the IMSS Facebook page notes section

Last Year I got the bus over on the saturday and took the car on Sunday and managed to park for free on Charlemont Street

Thanks, Pat, I was looking for those on the official event page, or some mention of where to find those...

I will have to leave my horses pretty much at the venue on Saturday, as I've said I'll have to carry a few boxes, some of those pretty heavy, so public transport of any sort is out of question. needless to say that I wouldn't be a big fan of spending Saturday by taking part in one day rat race.

Everything going according to plan, I'll be there in the morning to drop off a couple of entries, but I'll have to leave pretty quickly to get back home. Then I'll hopefully be there on Sunday in time for the raffle and to collect my builds. Hopefully see some of you there at some point...
