Yes I feel dirty......but having just watched FURY I have a hankering to build a Sherman....now I know there is no Sherman experts on here ;) :dev: ...what would be a good kit in 1/35?

Barry - Fury sounds like a dangerous film. :dev: ...

(must look at re-runs of the Battle of Britain instead....) :book:

Go for it Barry. It wasn't a Sherman, but I built a Tamiya T-55 that I got off the person who's not a Sherman expert, and it was a great kit.

Also, for someone who normally builds aircraft, building armour is great fun. It tends to be gluing nearly everything together before you even think of paint, so it's like going back to the modelling of your youth. And there isn't normally as many curves and seams etc. to worry about.

Of course, the weathering on the other hand... ;)

I'd even recommend some more of the modern tanks if it's not a Sherman particularly that interests you but any tank.

As I child I exclusively built aircraft and sci-fi, but in this rebirth of modelling I have to say I'm enjoying the Targets much more.

Well if you want to go down the Fury route then as Fise said go Tamiya, specifically their M4A3E8 wich is the Tasca/Asuka kit under license and is probably the best Sherman on the Market. The second best M4A3E8 is probably the Dragon Thunderbolt 7 kit but it has a few tricky parts and typical (crap) dragon instructions.
If its just any tank you want to build then any Tasca/Asuka Sherman will do :D
Seriously though if its any tank you want I would go for any Trumpeter kit. They go together like a Tamiya kit but with all the detail Tamiya leave out. If you spot something you like run it by us first if you like

Yeah I think it's just the Sherman to be honest but who knows where I'd go from there :-"
The FURY one was an easy eight wasn't it..I think tamiya do that exact kit..must get onto the google box

O God, please reconsider Barry.
This is just an idea, a bad idea, perhaps as a result of a bad dream or even a fall. Think back if its not to late, have you had a fall recently?
THE DARK SIDE is just reveling in the thought of another real modeler going over to the other side! Us who look down from a height on Targets must not allow ourselves to succumb to these evil thoughts. I did once or twice and its a hell hole to get out of! I still suffer from nightmares, my hands still shake at the thought.
Be warned, EVIL is out there, especially in the form of a Sherman Tank. :dev:
Cheers
