That could be me on Sunday afternoon shouting: 'Found them!' ...another box on my Bucket List has been ticked, running in the field with metal detector finding some 'old stuff and shit'. Long story short, this is not what I was hoping to find, but not a bad haul for the 1st try. Oh, yes...I'll be back for more, that's for sure. One problem though, how to get this old useless scrap over to Ireland? ![]()

Where abouts are you digging ? Czech Republic, Poland, Baltics, Bellorus ? I guess a full size Stug fished out of a lake would not fit in your cabin luggage and those RyanAir thieves charge so much nowadays for it.

South Moravia, Brian - so CZ... I'll keep exact location for myself, one never knows who's spying and there will be plenty more to keep me going for a quite a few holidays Unfortunately, we haven't found German ones yet, those are Czechoslovakian vz.52 shells - and one Mannlicher round from 1906 - how they got in there is bit of a mystery, but that must have been some fire going on in there once. We'll get some 'real' stuff out in 2017, promise, no StuGs though, there weren't any where we are digging
