hi guys have decided to build this for the group build. is at least 15 years old so will see how well it goes together. depending on how the painting turns out i might make him into a MACV-SOG as less detail painting on it.

Heil Mickey!
Wonder how the details look like on this one. How deep and sharp they are, I think, it's the enlarged version of their 1:35 scale figure?

Looks like a nice figure I did a screaming eagle figure also by dragon in 1/16 th scale and it had pretty good details only the head was a bit iffy but it went together very well and didn't need much filler thinking of it now I must actually finish it off hehehe it's lying in its box almost complete the last year and for this group build I'll be doing a 1/16th Herman goring in his ww1 days but won't be starting it till I Finish the plane I'm working on ;)

Here are some progress pics. the body was not a great fit to the legs plus both side leg pockets needed a lot of sanding to fit.painted so far with enamels. have to do the flesh areas still and the other 2 colours for the tiger stripe camo.will gloss then and add pin wash to try and bring out details.

Nice choice of figure Stephen- the tiger stripe base color and dark stripes are spot-on too!

Hi guys got a bit more work done on this one. have pin washed it and all the small pieces. will dull down the shine next and then start weathering. still have the face and hands to do next, will put plenty of cammy on him to hide the bad paint job on the flesh as i know it wont be great.

That Camo bedded in nicely under the varnish ( which can mute or completely obliterate many nice effects )

How you painting the head / face ?

hi john dont know how am painting the face as so many options. the old airfix mag i was reading in work today actually has the build and painting of your figure in it. some guys seem to use huge range of paints for faces and some guys use only small few so will have to see what paints i have and work from there.

Well that's one way to get around face painting ! Menacing looking character ,well done .the size of that ammo box! Must be a heavy gun .
