There is one other event, which is model related-(ish) - that is the Aviation Fair, which is in the Carlton Airport Hotel on Sunday 22nd November all day - IPMS Ireland will (as has been the case since 2010) have a stall there, advertising what we do and encouraging membership. I accept, if your interests are other than in aircraft, there may not be much for you, as most of the other stalls there are aircraft related. Philip |

The IMSS show is much the same as ours or ours is the same as theirs Two days Saturday and Sunday usually in May, in the Hilton Hotel in Ranelagh. Their classes are different than ours and the judging is also slightly different but it is always a great show |

Offhand I can't remember they give extra marks for presentation though including the base the model is on- we don't. Their definition of a diorama is different too and they allow more than one figure or a crew with a single vehicle. |

I forgot about Cork. It's a really laid back little display/ model fair? I believe Philip and Gerry ran the club table (as well as others? Sorry) It's well worth it for the fun and banter.

Yes, the Cork Model Fair - last February, was interesting. Good and relaxed, if a little cramped. Gerry, Stephen Nolan and I represented the club there. It was more a model fair - where many of the stands were selling, rather than simply exhibiting. You can find some details here:- http://forum.ipmsireland.com/topic/10950856/1/?x=30#new Philip |
