Gents,
I have been in touch with FC Model Trend. They are a model accessory producer from Spain. They make adhesive paper bases for models based on national flags . The finish is a so called "grunge" type, which means it’s a weathered print. He is prepared to do a run based on Irish flag if I can organise an order for five(per type). See the link for
examples from other countries

There are a number of different formats available 26 x19cm and 19x 13 cm. The prices for the Irish ones would be the same as others ; €4.84 for the bigger one and €4.24 for the smaller one. They could be used to give your model bases a little zing ! Also I can imagine that the club table at Telford or wherever would be enhanced visually with the use of the types of bases.

Is anyone else interested ? I haven't asked but I am sure the finish of the flag doesn't have to be grunge (weathered)

As I am off at the end of next week for 2 weeks holidays I would appreciate if you let me know between now and Wednesday.
Regards
Brian

IAC Roundal model bases

I saw these a while back but the 'grunge' effect put me off.... I then found these based on the IAC roundel...
Veni, Vidi, Velcro...I came, I saw, I stuck around.

Heil Mickey!
The 'Roundel' or 'FF' featured base would be much better option too, in my opinion. It can't be that difficult to throw something together in Photoshop and organise printing in 'local' sign shop. If the demand is there... Or maybe some generic shamrock image would do the trick instead? :X

I think that using National flag as a base could be against the rules of how to display the flag and could border with that defacing of the National flag formula. If I remember correctly, Department of Taoiseach has the rules published on their webpage click here.
At the very end of that document are few notes on what is not acceptable use of the national flag.

Nice idea Brian, btw :>
