Thanks Lads. 10:15 or so should be fine, I was more worried if it was 11 or later.

Thanks...

I think registrations runs from 10:00 until approximately 13:00, with judging due to start around 13:00 on Saturday as soon as registration closes.

Hi guys, if anyone can spare 30 mins or an hour over the two days to assist at the door it would be greatly appreciated. Just let me know on the day. That will allow me see the show, eat, keep my nicotine levels up and indulge in some stash expansion. 😆

Hey Sean,

I'll only be doing a flying visit tomorrow, but hope to be there for a few hours on Sunday afternoon, so put me down for giving you a break then, it's only fair that I help out...

Lads,

I will have a supply of competition registration forms to give to Pat for the registration desk. Bring you own pens, though.... ;)

A great day 1. Lots of top quality stuff on display....and lots of nice goodies to be tempted by.
This is a quick overview of the competition tables. Sorry, quality of the video does not reflect the quality of the entries

Don

Hi All,

I was at the show this morning and would like to commend all involved. Some truly spectacular models on display.
I would make just one observation if I may. I was surprised there was not a Somme or 1916 Rebellion themed category given that this year marks the centenary of both events.
A minor thing but I thought I might mention it.

Don while there was no specific category for 1916 or the Somme there were three awards which fitted the bill. One was the 1916-23 forum Group Build award then there was the Cross and Cockade award aimed at WW1 aircraft, there was The Great War Centenary Award. This award is to commemorate the centenary of the Great War (World War 1), and is for any non-aircraft model, including dioramas and vignettes, representing people, soldiers, artillery, armour, vehicles, boats or models of a civilian nature, from the 1914-1918 period. (sponsored by Joseph Moran and Filip Servit)

Sadly apart from WW1 aircraft it is not a popular period.

Some pics from the weeken reflecting my personal tastes rather than the overall trend. Entries were again up on last year and just too many for me to photograph them all
