As I haven't touched a model, airbrush, glue or any other modelling paraphernalia since before Xmas I thought I'd keep you guys on updated on what I was doing I have recently moved house so most of my waking hours was spent when not in work was on the house which I suppose could help with my brush painting oh and sanding and filling so not much different than model building I suppose one reason well for me anyway when we where looking viewing the house before we bought it which sold it for me was the 18 by 10 foot brick and concrete shed up the back which straight away was going to be the man cave and quite possibly my living quaters depending on the wifes mood haha I started working on it a couple of weeks ago when the house was finished and it's starting to take shape now so I thought I'd post a couple of pics of the place where I hope to do a lot of model building /living ![]() The inside all insulated and freshly plastered [ ![]() ![]() ![]() And that's it so far I hope to have it finished and ready to go in a couple of weeks fingers crossed then it's back to the bench

Thanks vinny the toilet and sink was in it already but it was just a shell of a shed so now with the radiator plumbed out to it it will be nice and cosy and I won't be annoying the missus now like the last house I took over the kitchen table hahaha |

Just one more comment...I don't see any vent for spray booth anywhere. Looks cool though and will be even better after some rubbish - I mean man's stuff - is moved in. |

That's great Des - having your own place is a great help. Many of the lads have sheds, but they are usually garden sheds, without insulation. Yours looks great. And you don't even need a vent for a spray booth - just open the door! Philip |

I know FiSe no vents in yet they be easily put in though just wanna make sure of the layout of the bench and spary booth before I start knocking holes in the walls plus there's a washing machine and dryer going in the little room at the back so another vent be going in there the rubbish/man stuff will be moved in the next couple of weeks Edited by des byrne, Mar 28 2016, 04:58 PM.

Cheers philip this was been used as a garden shed for storage by previous owners a waste I must say it was just bare brick walls and ceilings when we got it and for around 1000 euro I got all the supplys needed to insulate and plaster the inside and petition off the utility room and get roof felted which helped with drying it out as it was pretty damp would have never been able to work in it in winter it would be just too cold the way it was but now should be comfy enough just looking forward to getting it finished and get back modelling

des - Brian is right I have begun to use my new man cave in the converted attic, and I deliberately floored it with white vinyl tiles. Anything that falls can now be seen immediately... Philip |

The man cave is starting to take shape now I managed to paint the walls lay the bathroom floor tiles lay the wooden floor put the skirting and architrave on all in the last 10 days so I'm happy with how it looks now I bought the bench /table in ikea for 100 euro which is a good price I thought as it's big and sturdy and height adjustable also. It took me awhile to get back at working on the shed as I got sidetracked doing the back garden up but it's nearly finished and I'm looking forward to getting back to modelling in the next two or three weeks just need a few more bits and pieces to do to it which I could get done but I'm heading away tomorrow on holidays for a week so that's putting a stop to it for now Thanks for looking Des ![]() ![]()

Looks very well, Des. You are not short of electric sockets, are you?? Love the couch - just the place to sit back and relax (I mean, do your research....) Philip |

Cheers philip. One can never have to many electrical sockets and as for the couch I have that since my old house I had it in the spare room and only used it a couple of times I'm thinking of getting rid of it to be honest as it takes up a fair bit of room that I want to use for some display cases and book stands but on the upside it doubles as a bed it folds down to a small double bed which could be handy for when the wife puts me on time out for being bold 😂
