For those of you who havent had enough of 1916 and all of that, Trinity College have been running a free on-line 6 week history course which you can follow. Its called "Irish lives in war and revoluition" 1913-1923. Its designed for use on all mobiel devices so you can follow and particpate anytime or any place. And you don not need to be a professor to follow it. I only discoverd this at the end of last week so have been playing catch up all week. The approach is very broad covering social, economic as well political issues . Also very PC in its treatment of "all narratives and traditions ". High point for me is the overview of on-line primary sources. The inspiration for my Lancia build was a photo of a train derailment close by my home. Using the online rescources I have a pretty good idea who was involved. See link for more info Link Worth a look regards Brian |
