GREAT!

I will book the Irish Ferries sailing for the three of us (with Simon N) tomorrow. Off VERY VERY early on the Friday and back on the 2pm sailing from Holyhead on the Monday. (My leave from work is already booked - since last May!)

Cheers,

Philip

EDIT: we are now booked!! :D :D :D

Yes, get into kitswop queue by 9 am on the Saturday if you can. As IPMS members we can get in at 9 am through the turnstiles, but if you are coming on the Friday afternoon, you can get in to the venue from about 4 pm, with your IPMS Ireland membership card. - just say you are helping to set up our stand in the overseas section. Once this is set up, you can then get the armbands that allow you in to the halls on the Saturday morning from 7:45 till 8:45. That guarantees you an early spot in the kitswop queue!

Philip
CORRECTION

I have just received new instructions from the hosts, the IPMS (UK) and their Overseas Liaison Officer, Gary Wenko.

Due to issues raised regarding insurance and health and safety between IPMS (UK) and the Telford Convention Centre management, they are restricting the number who can enter on the Friday afternoon to four from each club (who will be named in advance by me, as Secretary). Us four will be the only ones issued with armbands, and will be responsible for the setting up of the club stand.

(I have just sent e-mail to those that I am aware of who are planning on travelling on the Friday to let them know about this. If you haven't got an e-mail from me in the last hour or so, and you are in that category, then please let me know.)

The Telford organisers are very clear that nobody else is going to be let in on the Friday afternoon apart from the four named individuals, and nobody else will be admitted until Saturday morning at 9 am. So if you want to get into the kitswop queue, then be at the main doors from 8:45 (my guess is that there will be a queue there by then).

Nearly ready for the off! Last coat of varnish applied to the second competition entry this morning, before I left for work. Bags packed, and just the model box left to do when I get home, then early to bed with the alarm set for 4:45 am...

24 hours from now will (hopefully) be on the road from Holyhead to Telford.. :D :D :D
