Sorry Guys,
I was deleting Photo's from my Photo-bucket library and did not release that once I did this it broke the link to the photo. I thought that once the photo was posted it was there for good. Now I understand why some of my previous posts had photos missing.

Anyway this is one of the display cases from Ikea. They are not very expensive, from memory 70-80 Euros. The P shaped dust deal was purchased in Woodies for about 6 Euro. It's a bit messy getting the seal in the correct position so that the door can close on both the magnetic catch's, trial and error is involved.
I have mine up for a couple of months now and its virtually dust free.

The complete cabinet, the dust sealer is not intrusive and is hardly noticed.

The upper corner where one of the magnetic catch's is. This is one of the very few places that is a bit doggy around the catch.

The same applies to the upper and lower hinges.

The side that the door seals up against.

The opposite side that is hinged.

The dust sealer that I used.

This just gives you an idea of the size of the sealer.

This shows the shape of the sealer. The idea is to get the door to seal over the lip of the sealer and then rest flush up against the main part of the 'P' shape.

I hope that this is of interest to some of you guys who are thinking of investing in a display cabinet.
Its a relatively cheap way of obtaining a reasonable good dust proof display cabinet.
Even 'Her in Doors' is very happy with the cabinet and the way the models are displayed.
My idea is to rotate the models on the shelves every few months. So models on the top shelf will go to the bottom and shelf two will move up to one and three to two etc.

If there any questions please ask.
Cheers
Joe

They're actually €50 a hell of a price .Safest to have a second person to hand when building and don't force anything !

Have to agree with John. While it can be done with one it's much easier with two.
