Guys I know this may be not the place for this.I was away on holidays and as usual my wife checks our account. We noticed four payments on it to someone or something called Venntro Media, then three credits. I checked Venntro and they seem to service dating sites, but as I have never used these sites i rang fraud section of bank, and all they can do is cancel my card and money is credited, but I wonder have any of you guys had this kind of thing happen to them?

Yeah, had my card hacked from some site twice before. Bank notified me of suspicious transactions one time but the first time they just suspended the card and didn't tell me. Rather inconvenient as I was abroad. Now I use a Swirl pre paid card mostly online

€6 to buy the card, €3 every time you load money into it and 75c transaction fee. Even if it gets hacked they can't run up a debt

Hi

I use 3v credit card/voucher, it’s sort of like swirl. I’m not sure which is better. See https://www.3v.ie/

With it you don’t have a card, you buy a voucher at a payzone outlet. They can be between from €30-€350, in increments of €10. You pay €2.50 for the purchase of a 3V Voucher with a value of between €30.00 and €100.00 and €5.00 for the purchase of a 3V Voucher with a value of more than €100.00. There is a 2.75% Visa foreign exchange commission for purchases in currencies other than Euro.

The first time you use it you will be asked to set-up an account. I’ve using it for years. I used to buy a lot from ebay and that, but I don't buy a lot last now, so it may have changed a little since I last used it.

I’m sure there are most type of prepaid credit cards. O2 had one, but I don't know it that has gone now.

I would always use a prepaid card on the Internet.

Regards

Ken
