Guess I'll have to keep all mine for a standalone display next year.

But sounds like it going to be one huge collection there this year :)

Just back , show goes from strength to strength .Great venue .Footfall and entries up .Kitswap abuzz with buyers and sellers .

1/35 armour entries massive

1/72 planes esp jets down a lot .1/48 is more popular than all other scales combined although there were 6-12 entries in β€˜1/144’ and β€˜1/32 and bigger β€˜

Show was in full swing by 1020 am when I arrived !

Membership is very active .At least a third if not a half of IPMS Ireland membership were in attendance by midday with very many of those helping out in some capacity .

There is a very capable committee behind this weekends show .

Congrats to all involved

Thanks John and while the committee might organise it we could not actually run the event without the help of the members and our friends in IMSS and NIMA who also volunteered for judging. Thanks to all the judges but a special thanks to Gerry Doyle and Eoin Ryan who had the unenviable task of doing the Tracked 1/35 class with 33 entries. And thanks also to all the members who helped at kit swap, door and registrations. And Glen and Ronan who did two of the harder plane classes where the competition was very tight

Great show, very well organised and the standard of builds just gets better and better.

Hanging around the KitSwop looked like the place to be! :-"

A big thank you to everyone who brought along a Star Wars model for the club table - really appreciate the effort and it made for a great display.

Have uploaded some photos to this thread, hope some of your favourites are in there.

Catch up soon and enjoy your modelling.

Cheers,
Dermot

Dave,Tony,Terry and I would like to thank you for the hospitality and a great show yesterday.

We all agree its getting bigger and better, it seems a long way from D1

A smooth, trouble free trip there and back with Ryanair !!

On the way back, the young lady in the seat next to me, returning from a weekend visit

to her Irish boyfriend, bought me a Gin and tonic.

At my age it gets no better than that.

Again well done and thanks. See you in Telford.

regards :>

Another great show. I'd like to thank all those who assisted me with a loan of some 1/144 scale aircraft form the SIG 1/144 display.
So thanks Maurice, Vinnie, Philip and Dermot. All models were greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to next year already.

What a show!
Well done to the organisers and the IPMS team behind them. Honestly there's some of ye there should get a Nobel prize for patience and diplomacy, there's a brilliant atmosphere there, very welcoming and inclusive.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the kids. They've mentioned several times how much they enjoyed being there, looking at the models, browsing the kit swap, interacting with you guys and building models while I judged. As our future modellers this can only be good...
I must tip my hat to those that judged, there was a daunting amount of models to get through and the quality was really high!! I got quite a few pics and have posted them on the IPMS Facebook page, and have really enjoyed looking at others pics here and there too :> phew...
Hopefully see you at the next club meeting, with models in tow, and perhaps some baked goods :choco:
