hi Alpha i got the exact same model 2 years ago and its a great little compressor. i use the cheap airbrushes at the moment . i use only enamels so thinning consistency is the thing to watch out for and air pressure also. i use the Humbrol enamel thinners for my Testors, revell and humbrol enamels with no problems.best of luck with it and enjoy.

Cheers Stephen , I have Humbrol enamels , I don't have the thinners. Would white spirits or cellulous thinners be ok for now ?

Hi Alpha,

You can use DIY thinners with many paints, however, you are better off spending
a couple of Euro and thinning with the manufacturer's own brand thinner. If for
nothing else than for consistency and quality assurance...

White spirits is ok, cellulose is a 'hot' thinner, in the extreme so be careful as it may
melt/degrade your O Rings in your airbrush (unless they are high end teflon type?).

Where did you pick up the compressor and for how much, and what's the capacity and
PSI range please? In the market for a new one myself so am intrigued. :>

On the bench:
1/16 Trumpeter T-72B1 with Kontakt ERA
1/35 AML-30 prototype
1/35 Djibouti BTR-60 with AML-90 turret
1/72 S-Models BMD w/scratch slat armour.
And about 100 other part built kits... ;)

Cheers pal , yeah I think I'll just order the proper stuff. This is the kit I got , but from Amazon €100 delivered to my door , so not a bad price :)

I'm sure you know this already, mate but.. also invest in a breathing mask and heed the warnings about using in a well-ventilated area: you do NOT want to be inhaling atomised enamel paint and thinners.
The kit looks cool, BTW. If I don't bankrupt myself over christmas, think that may be my "Get Through January" treat to myself..

I would love to hear your opinion on it, when you have used it a couple of times AlphaAI. I think I might pick up one of these myself.
