My vote (if there was one) would be for the Schneider Trophy planes Joe. Cheers, Dermot |

Hi Dermot, I know you like the Schneider Trophy aircraft........... but which one? 1. The Morane includes decals for two aircraft that were flown in the 1912 race, neither of these won it. That year it was won by a Sopwith Tabloid flown by Howard Pixton. ![]() 2. The Supermarine Sea Lion II which won the race in 1922. ![]() 3. The Supermarine S6B which won the race in 1931. Designed by Reginald Mitchell, he of S[itfire fame. ![]() Just Curious Cheer Joe M Edited by Joseph M, Jun 6 2017, 10:35 PM.

Great idea Pat, come on Philip you know you would want to. Am sure Joe is a shoe in, I would certainly join, theres 4 already. What with planes, ships, sci-fi, Sean's amv certainly had enough aerials etc to be classed as rigging. Endless possibilities Maurice. |

Maurice - I assume that, for the purposes of the present thread, you are therefore going with one of the other planes, but leaving the Swordfish aside... I think our revered Admin would require a formal thread in the "proposals" section for a "rigging gb", if you are actually serious......(though I do take your point, that almost all aircraft up to the jet age would have rigging wires, even if just for aerials). Maybe best to stop this now, lest we pollute the group build chat for the floaty planes! Philip Edited by Prenton, Jun 26 2017, 05:07 PM.

Hi Maurice, For me it has to be the third kit, its looks like an Arado 196. It would be a great comparison if someone else was building the German kit. O Philip I hear you calling................ Cheers Joe M |

Sorry Joe but won't make the deadline for this one I do all my priming outside using rattlecans and with the weather not going to get any milder any time soon, I'm going to have to put a hold on finishing the Albatross. But I will finish it for sure Sorry about that and well done on a great Group Build. Cheers, Dermot |

Sorry that you didn't make it this time Dermot. Congrats to all those who finished on schedule and good luck to those that didn't quite make it . Some good kits our there waiting to be finished.Just cause the GB is over don't leave those models unfinished. Looking forward to seeing them at some stage in the future. DERMOT can you put up a voting platform and if there is anyone out there who can come up with one or two logos for those who have finished the GB I would really appreciate it as my computing skills do not stretch that far. Thanks Dermot. Cheers Joe Edited by Joseph M, Dec 5 2017, 11:42 PM.

Ditto on my HE51, it's proving to be an extremely finicky build (late start, odd kit, flaky decals, compound angles on the struts, experimenting with new methods of rigging, sick wife, sick me, sick cat etc) , it's now back on track and it will hopefully get finished this side of Christmas
