Unfortunately cant see any of the photos. Would love to add one of these (or a Maus) to my collection.

AFAIK all of the late war German tanks (Tiger II, Later Tiger1's and the Panther II proposals) had steel road wheels, so the E100 probably would have had the same.

Progress by way of a little painting...

The black card to the right of the picture holds the tracks. I undercoated them with a colour from the same range as the red one at top left. They're described as 'Craft Enamel' - 'A premium quality, fast drying acrylic spray paint, indoor/outdoor'.

The latest mock-up. Turret completely assembled and just a couple more bits to attach to the hull along with the running gear. I somehow managed to make a mess of the photo-etch collar for the muzzle-brake. It's beautifully perforated but you can't see most of it as I glued it on upside-down (see 2nd pic). Nul points :(
Temporarily attached are the side skirts which I forgot to bring to the last meeting.

Looking Beautiful. I just can't imagine what it would have been like to be inside something like a Sherman or a Cromwell and encountering one of these behemoths if they had ever seen the battlefield.(btw I can see the photos on my phone, but not on my laptop, strange)

Rough camo coat applied with decals. One of the engine grilles fell off and is awaiting reattachment. Wheels and tracks are almost ready to go.

Last mockup before completion. Fit issues with side-skirts encountered. Running gear very awkward. A few tow shackles and last bit of weathering to do before Thursday.

3 pics in gallery- I changed the second picture from my original posting to give a shot of the running gear. Overall, an enjoyable enough kit which I enjoyed building. :>
I didn't over-weather this one as I reasoned that given its size it would be largely impervious to anything (including the elements) :-" .

Thanks Pat. On the upper hull I mixed in some gloss with the colours as I applied them and oversprayed them in turn with a separate gloss coat for decalling purposes. The bit of weathering with oils took off most of the shine and brought it back down to a more satin finish (although it's still very shiny in patches). The running gear was left completely matt.
