Thanks to a heads up from Barry I saw this ex-display unit (from a chemist shop, used to display perfumes and stuff) advertised on adverts.ie and I got it to 150 Euro which I think was pretty good! (Given how much these things cost new). Went down to Gowran to collect it on Sunday. I think I'll get a second glass shelf cut for it (plenty of room) and the plan is to have somewhere for the larger kits in my stash to be displayed (eg. I have a B-58 and C-47 in 1/48 which I'm keen to build but had nowhere to put, no excuses now!)

Sure what does it matter what price the ones in kilkenny are? Ronan is happy with his cabinet and a sweet cabinet it is I must say

Just my three cents

Probably the same one: Gowran is just outside Kilkenny city.

Very nice Ronan, now get it filled!

That's a very nice piece of furniture. Good idea to keep an eye out for former shop fittings like this.

You could well be right, it was just short of Kilkenny where I got it.

Definitely needs more models in it, I'll get right on it! (Working on my A-10 at the moment!)

Thanks! It's a bit rough around the edges, (I built it nearly 30 years ago!) but it is a big model. I heard Tan Model may be doing a new tool 1/48 SR-71 and if so then it would be very high on my wishlist!
