Hi all.just curious if anyone has a set of spare 1/72 f-14 tailplanes (or a crappy kit) they don't want.reason I ask is I'm building a kit of the "robotech/macross" VF-1J and in fighter mode it clearly is based on and inspired by the TOMCAT....however the problem is that the model doesn't have tailplanes in jet mode (because that's the way the original toy was designed ) and to me it just don't look right so i want to add tailplanes to it to make it look "right"...not having tailplanes to me makes me feel it just shouldn't be able to fly and once you notice that glaring on mission it just can't be unseen.lol. |

I think I have a scrapped Hasegawa 1/72 Tomcat knocking around here that should have the tailplanes going spare, I will have a look and see what I can do.

F-14 tailplanes found, they have been painted(badly) a very long time ago so I will see if I can strip them back and bring them along to the next Dublin meeting for you. |

Thank you sir...don't worry about striping the paint..I have paint remover myself so it's not a problem. ☺ |
