Hi All

Im going to start working with Photo Etch parts and I need some help. What kind of glue should I use? Would be just super glue enough? and also what kind of Primer would be ok to use? just something like Tamiya or Humbrol Primer cans will work?

Thanks a lot!

Any kind of super glue is fine and most primers are fine too. Remember if painting to scrape the paint off where you want to glue.

If the fit is fiddly/critical I often use white glue(wood glue) to position the part and when its set I add a drop of super glue over the join. That way you avoid the part being stuck where you don't want it or you becoming part of your model. Super glue and human skin like to bond together  ............

As above for glue(Superglue or PVA wood glue work well for photo etch) but I would suggest getting a wax 'pick up' pencil(ebay or Amazon?) to use when positioning the PE, can be a lot easier to use than tweezers and less likely for small metal parts to ping off into oblivion.
