This kit is a year younger than me and I have to say I'm in better shape than it is :-"

Flash, raised panel lines, mismatched sides: I don't have any of these things- well except maybe the mismatched sides due to a Dislocated shoulder that never healed healed properly.

anyway this will be a quick build- I'll do as much as I can with sandpaper and filler and I'll McGyver up a cockpit interior -there is none in the kit and then I'll paint it

there are only about 15 or so parts in the kit

I'll try the decals but I don't know if I'll use the glue that came with it ^_^

Nice one Pat not much of a kit compared to what you'd get nowadays but I'm sure you'll do a good job on it the hinomarus should be easy enough to spray on and will look better than decals anyways doesn't look like there is much more markings on it

It'd be a better job pat especially if old decals they could disintegrate or break up

Cool plane.

Funnily enough the kit being crude wouldn't trouble me. In fact having to do a bit of work is probably what I'm here for, so to speak.

In fact I sat down to start building my Airfix 109 E last week and it's crisp, detailed and head and shoulders above the kits of old, but I actually couldn't bring myself to start building it, because all I need to do to it is a little bit of painting, it's so good, hmmmmm.

Now after some thought I've decided I'll go out and look for some mad conversion to do to it, but that's another story :) (although affair the E didn't get much done to it, it was more the F's and G's that had odd versions made)
