Greetings! Thought I'd enter the fray with this little kit. ![]() Had this one a long time and this is an ideal opportunity to reduce the stash by one. With just 28 parts (4 of which I won't even need) it's not the most complex of kits. ![]() ![]() It doesn't have anything at all for the interior. So I'm going to atleast fashion a shelf from some plasticard and put a seat and pilot on it. I have a feeling myself and this kit won't get along but we'll see. Graham |

Graham - I feel your pain. I am in a similar situation with a Campini Caproni over on Britmodeller! http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235020025-campini-caproni-n1-c-c-2/#comment-2777314 Philip |

Attaching the floats is no easy task either! They are completely smooth and there is no indication exactly where they should sit. Not easy getting them to stay up when attaching. Obviously the joins will need filling!![]() Graham |

The aircraft is now together and ready for the first go at priming. I suspect the primer will show up plenty of places where more filling / sanding is required.![]() On a side note I bought my first airbrush recently. This will be a good opportunity to get some practice in. Graham Edited by Narayan, Aug 2 2017, 10:09 AM.

Looks great .Re airbrush : Use 20psi .Thin more than you think you should and use several fine misted coats . That should help you avoid the dreaded 'runs'. If paint doesn't come out wipe needle tip with a brush soaked in thinners /alcohol .If that doesn't work the paint is too thick and or nozzle clogged .White acrylic paint will often clog your nozzle .Sometimes only the needle itself is fine enough to tease out the gunk ( through the front ) but be VERY gentle . Of course with experience you will be looking to lay down thicker 'colour coats' but if you try that without experience runs are guaranteed .I haven't got to that stage myself yet ... |
