In fairness, the wing layouts aren't dissimilar (6 engines, gun turrets port and starboard). They differed in that the Gigant's wingspan was 9m greater although the Wiking's fuselage length was 8m longer. A pair of monsters nonetheless. :dev:

Bit more work done, haven't posted in a while but beavering away nonetheless. Main nose section assembled with just the 'glass' bit at the front with machine gun and the mooring post door (square-ish hole) to be added. I have pieces of paper held in place with Tamiya tape to protect windows against damage for the moment:

Nice one Ronan.

Interior decks almost done...just a few seats and things to be added. I've already added the rudder pedals which are visible at the left hand side of the picture. Installation process into the fuselage will cause a vast amount of swearing...possibly an international incident :dev:

So this monster couldn’t carry vehicles as doors not big enough ,only troops and cargo ?

You might have squeezed a motorbike/sidecar combination into one of the C series versions  . They had a folding nose section. I'm only guessing though - I've no pictures of anything being loaded into the cargo bays.

Mock-up - interior installed in fuselage with nose attached (all dry-fitted for now). Fits together surprisingly well. I had expected this to be the toughest part of construction. That said, something's bound to go wrong when I start to apply the glue

Mock-up with wings loosely attached...6-inch steel rule for scale. I'll have to dash into town this morning as I've run out of Revell's thinner  .

Surgery done to wings to allow insertion of brass tube spar. Small fishing weights placed behind each engine - I might be able to make the wings separable

Bit of white spirits would do for Revell enamels ? Seems a shame to trek into town just for that? ( would be very easy to come home with more than you went in for !)

I was going in anyway John, pointless journey anyway as I made a total mess of the starboard wing yesterday. Complete write-off. I've had to replace it with another wing cannibalized from the stash. Meeting Sunday's deadline will be almost impossible now :(
