Well this week saw a bit of a change for me, yep I actually did a bit of modelling as not been at the bench for the last 3 months. Decided to pick up on an old project and realised I’d not posted any pictures of it anywhere so far. Ok I’m not saying I’m going to finish this project next I just picked it up as it was an easy enough one to continue in the limited time I had back at the bench but it was enjoyable being there again.

Here is a select of some of the pictures of the build so far along with photos of the 1/16 figures this monster was brought to accompany.

This weeks progress.
A lot of M-ATVs in the field have the crews filling in the side of the cargo deck with anything from plywood to netting. So decided to try the netting route. Happy enough.
Now to get it ready for painting with masking off the screens, inside done with liquid mask, outside will be tape.

Just to paint what has been done so far was one rattle can of Humbrol Matt Acrylic Desert Sand, think I’ll need more than the two I bought for this.

Making steady progress now, bodywork has been base coated

The de-masking process is underway. The tape is easy to remove, the liquid mask takes a little longer.

But before I finished for the day I just had to dry fit it :)

And thanks once again to Des for the use of his circle cutter, I can now trim down the seatbelt fasteners to the right size

Ok not sure what happened to previous photos I'll have to look into that.

More progress pictures can be found in https://flic.kr/s/aHskQqT1gC

But latest progress, still lots of detailing and tidying up to do but until I have the radio set and accessories this will now sit on a shelf.

Thanks Dermot and I only wish it could be driven as wouldn’t have to worry about and weather or bad backroads in that monster.

Not sure if I’ll bring it to next meeting as it’s a decision between this or Pearl and only one will fit in my largest transport box at a time.

Nice work there, the detail looks great.
As my eyesight fades I often consider upscaleing
And every year at Telford,I drool over the 1/24th
Kits on the KFS stand.
Maybe this year

Thanks, and I'm happy to say I don't need to upscale yet as eyesight still good, but this just had to be done to accompany the 1/16 figures I was given.
