Really happy to get this one done and also delighted it got a commendation at the show. Overall a nice kit, some shortcomings in the instructions, (particularly how it only shows you how to build the canopy closed), but I think it builds up into a lovely A-10. The Eduard weapons were quite a lot of work, but worth it in the end.

Thanks guys! I was very relieved to have finished it in time for the show! The ordinance really lifted the model overall, the next jet I do I think I'll definitely go the aftermarket ordinance route again, but I might start with it as by the time I had the plane done it took me time to work up the mojo to start on the ordinance!

Ronan, great to see both yourself and your work at the show.

One of the most impressive ordnance load-outs on an aircraft at D6, brilliantly rendered to boot :>
Glen

On the bench:
1/35 AML-30 prototype
1/35 Djibouti BTR-60 with AML-90 turret
1/72 S-Models BMD w/scratch slat armour.
And about 100 other part built kits... ;)

Thanks Glen! I think the temptation with a Hog is to pile on ordinance on every pylon like you might see in a magazine diagram showing what stuff it can carry, but of course in the real world it would probably run out of fuel very quickly indeed with all that weight and drag. Hence I tried to figure out what real world loads they carried in Desert Storm, which was the two Sidewinders, a single Maverick on each side, two cluster bombs and six Mk82 boms on TERs, plus the ECM pod. I'm really pleased how they turned out, it was great reward for the time I put into them.
