Hi Stephen, Welcome aboard our next Dublin chapter meeting is next Saturday in The Lab in Foley Street 11-1pm if you are around. Some people bring kits in progress or finished kits (Mine are always in progress :-/ ) or something they've picked up on the way in.

Hi Stephen and welcome to the forum (and back to the hobby)

Got back into it myself about 6 years ago after a long break. Am trying to get my kids interested with varying degrees of success!

If you need any help on the forum at all, just shout - myself and Pat on the Mod Team are always happy to help.

I sent you details about the next Dublin meet up though it's really a Leinster meet up as plenty of the lads come from Wicklow/Meath/Kildare and surrounding counties.

Cheers,
Dermot

Welcome Stephen

Hope to meet with you at the Dublin Chapter meeting this coming Saturday at 11 am, or the following one (which is on Saturday 17th February at the same time).
The venue for the Dublin Chapter meetings is the the Lab in Foley Street, which is just off Talbot Street, close to Connolly railway station. If coming by car, there is easy car parking nearby in the Irish Life centre car park. If coming by LUAS, the stop nearby is Busaras on the red line. If coming by Bus Eireann the nearest stop is (you guessed it!) Busaras! I dunno about Dublin Bus as I am one of those Leinster residents that Dermot refers to!

Thanks for the replies, will try to get up to one of the meetings, but with 4 kids under 13, Saturdays are mad, football, art, gymnastics etc etc...hence why I stopped building models for a long time.

Welcome Stephen

Ah I know that feeling even though I only have 2 boys under 15 but between them weekends are normally full and meetings I rarely get to, think this first one of the year could be my last again until next Christmas lol

So what genres are you into and get posting on you wip in any of the right threads or even post up any complete builds as I know we all love to see them.

Mainly into 1/72 WWII German armour, aircraft, then throw in a bit of Napoleonic 1/72 and the odd bit of fantasy stuff, tempted to head for 1:35 getting old and harder to see the 1/72 stuff, but sticking to 1:72 so far

Hi Stephen,
Welcome back to modelling. Believe me we have all taken sabbaticals from the hobby for various lengths of time. Was interested when a teenager and younger. Missed out during my twenties and came back for a while in my thirties / forties. Then a break of almost another 15 years or so. Now cannot get enough of it.
I blame it on the glue..........
Cheers
