This will be my build for the captured GB.

Posted Image2018-08-02_09-33-56

It's a Soviet Ba-10 armoured car and I'll be building it in Finnish Service. The Finns captured several of these in the Winter war and they served in the Continuation War and postwar.

It's the Zvesda kit which is the old Eastern Express kit and I know the HobbyBoss one would be an easier build but the only real problem I can see is with the wheels and I'll replace them with either resin or plastic.

Hi Guys,
I'm spoilt for choice.

The Sopwith Pup B1721 was serving with 54 Sqn from the 19th of May 1917. It was chased down on the 30th of May when flown by Lt. Fred Kantel while escorting FE2's who were on a bombing mission. It was claimed by Vzfz. Karl Holler of Jasta 6.

Albatros D.V 4545/17 was flown by Vzfw. Max Wackwitz of Royal Saxon Jasta 24. It was seemingly shot down by AA fire on the 14th of November 1917 and given the captured number G.97.

The next couple I can tell you very little about but can surmise.
The Brewster Buffalo could either be Dutch and captured in Java of British and captured at Singapore.
Posted ImageIMG_20180801_110621 by Joseph Moran, on Flickr

The Curtiss Hawk had to be French.
Posted ImageIMG_20180801_110644 by Joseph Moran, on Flickr

An interesting lot next;
Originally a Russian aircraft Anatra DS and captured by the Germans.
Posted ImageIMG_20180801_112238 by Joseph Moran, on Flickr

And somehow or other ended up in Russian hands again.
Posted ImageIMG_20180801_112341 by Joseph Moran, on Flickr

And finally, if Pat ever gets his finger out and completes a Fokker Triplane that he started years ago I said that I would build this Target, sorry Tank.

At the moment I'm leaning towards the Buffalo and the Sopwith Pup but mind still not entirely made up.

Cheers Guys
Joe M

Hmm spoilt for choice too, will definitely build tiger 113 as displayed on horseguards parade (not as seen in the movie fury) .

On the aircraft front, like Joe many (possibly too many) choices, the F2b is out as I want to do this in air Corp colours, the FW 190 in us markings would be nice or maybe the Albatross n British colours, although I still like the idea of the P51Marklo 109 pair ho hum, still at least my first choice for the RAF build is simple :)

Pat,

Great subject choice. I always liked the beefy, but racy, look of these armoured cars.

Delighted to see someone tackle a Finnish subject too :>

Hi Joe

Some real eye catchers there, spoiled for choice!

I really like the look of the Brewster Buffalo and Curtis Hawk, Though, that Whippet is very much my cup of tea, and as this is 100 years since the last year of WWI, your kind of obliged lol.

Hi Mark,

In terms of scope and possibility, we certainly are spoiled for choice.

The 190 is definitely on my radar as a possibility, so many captured Butcher Bird schemes out there.

Tiger 113 is certainly a possibility, but, in line with the guidelines, it would have to be clearly seen in a captured setting/presentation...

Found some really cool decal sets on eBay so the Wurger is a definite build, actually like the schemes so much I could see myself getting a second FW190 for the build.

The tiger will have the British divisional markings and (hopefully) a good stab at the battle damage that led to it being captured, but the British otherwise retained the scheme of the tank. For its restoration it was painted in a weird two tone sand colourscheme; not going there :)

These are they. I'm leaning towards the top one, but they're all pretty nice. Due first week of September, really looking forward to this one now.
