Heil Mickey!
..it is a job nicely done on it, I would suggest to re-do one small detail, turning the exhaust armour covers the other way around. They are a prominent feature on the rear of any T-34 and shoud be facing downwards:

Sorry for nitpickin', the model itself is class - as are the other on the table...

2yoyos for a meeting is a very good value, nobody can expect to have a premises for free, we pay fiver, which is really nothing, if there's a cup o'tea or coffee thrown in.

No worries Filip - we covered that detail at the meeting :)

Philip, that unknown WiP is a Chinese copy of a Humvee. Who else could it be? ;-)
Sean

I'll leave that to experts like yourself!!

That's why I decided not to make a fool of myself again and call it a jeep! ;)

Good meeting! Shame to bout Steve leaving but seems we gained 3 new members as well. Cheers for that Pat by the way haha I should've payed attention. I swapped them about and I should have pics of it up soon. Might show off how I managed the weather whitewash at the next meeting if anyones interested and if I can make it out of work of course haha.

No word as yet - I have put in a request to the Exchange for either the 20th or the 27th. I will post up, as usual, when I get confirmation.

Thanks for that Philip, I half remember something being said at the last meeting about there being an event booked for
the Exchange on the usual 3rd Saturday.
I will pencil in both dates for the moment and see what happens.

DATE CONFIRMED

The next meeting will be on Saturday 20th, from 11 am till 1 pm, in the front area (there is a market in the rear area starting at 12 noon).

(I will be on holidays, but there is no need to pick up the key, as our friends in the keep fit class will be there, as usual, from 10 - in the rear area)

I'd be grateful if someone would volunteer to collect the usual contribution of €2 from each of those present and give it to the Exchange volunteer on duty at 1 pm.

Thanks,

Philip

Do what I did Barry I dragged my ten year old along to the meeting until she moaned so much I had to give in and leave

Despite the unbearable heat (The Exchange needs to get windows that can actually open!) there was still a reasonably good turn-out: about 10 I think. Another new member (welcome Tony, a 1/72 German WWII Armour fan) and a few old faces. For once the targets on the table out-numbered the wingy-things. Joe had his 1/72 Russian clone of a German AT gun in a lovely home-made revetment and I had my Chinese clone of an American Humvee plus the Hemtt post-apocalypse gun-truck. Vinny had the Magister work-in-progress plus the IAC decal sheet. Looks very nice! Marks is currently doing the two together as a set. I'm sure Vinny or Simon can give more details on price. I also had my completed Battlestar Galactica Viper Mk VII.
The heat really was something else and we all adjourned early to various watering holes, model shops or shaded corners....

Good to see some photos from Saturday and some nice builds there. Great to see the gun-truck resurrected!

Sorry I couldn't make it - family stuff in the way.
