Guys

Booking now sorted for this coming Saturday, 24th August, in the Exchange - 11 am till 1 pm. I've told them the smaller space would be adequate for our needs.....

Enjoy!

Philip

It was very quiet at the Dublin meeting today- mainly because the yoga class over ran their time and had the cheek to shush us but we persevered.
Attendees were Sean Mullarkey, Sean Walsh, Barry, Dermot, Joe and Pat.
Sean M brought a trio of Airfix British vehicles in 1/48. Joe brought his soviet anti tank vignette, a 100th scale or 144 scale Stuka and some vintage “Dark side” kits he is going to incorporate into his 1/72 scale 1945 Berlin Dio, Sean W brought A converted Chaos Space marine standard bearer, Dermot brought his 1/72 scale Abrams and I brought some large scale Ork heads I’m working on. We all sat around and had a great chat about models until one o clock and then went our separate ways.

Folks

You will be glad to hear that the Exchange is still in action.

However, our usual third Saturday is gone - there is a comic fest on in the entire space for all of September 21st. So I have booked us in for Saturday 28th September from 11am till 1pm (September 14th has the usual market on, so isn't a runner).

That's two weeks from D2, so please bring along any models that you have in mind entering for the competition. We tried this idea out a couple of years ago, and having other modellers looking at your potential entries can allow small things that you may have missed to be spotted, with sufficient time to rectify them before the off....

Also, we will be discussing various rota and other arrangements for D2, so it would be great if as many as can make it could come on the 28th. (If you cannot make it then, but would be happy to help out at D2 on 12th/13th October in any capacity, then I'd appreciate a PM or an e-mail (to philipprenton[at]eircom[dot]net).

Thanks,

Philip

As a matter of fact, the 28th will suit me perfectly as I would not have been able to make the 21st.

Also, I should be around for both days of D2 to help out where needed.

REMINDER

The next meeting is not on today, 21st September, but IS on next Saturday 28th. Usual venue - the Exchange - from 11 am till 1 pm.

Please come along if you can.

If you cannot make it on the 28th, but will be available to help out at D2, in any capacity - whether manning the club table, helping out with the kitswop, helping out with registration, judging in the competition, taking money on the door, etc. - then I'd appreciate a PM or an e-mail to let me know (my e-mail addy is philipprenton[at]eircom[dot]net.)

Thanks,

Philip

For this Saturday should we only be bringing models we wish to enter in the competition?

No Graham, bring anything you like. Not everyone is entering competition... I'll be bringing my Sci-fi GB work-in-progress along
