OK, the 2c is on it's way to Pat. If anyone wants to claim the piece on the left that's still available!

REMINDER

The next Dublin Chapter meeting will be on on Saturday week, that is, June 21st, from 11 am till 1 pm. Venue is again the Culture Box in Temple Bar.

Apart from the usual chat and show & tell of models done, on the way to being done or just purchased, we reckon that there is a benefit in having a focused demo or talk at every meeting. While the July meeting will have a demo already lined up, we had to decide the focused event for this coming meeting.

Talking with Pat over last week, we have decided to have a couple of folks (who have had experience in judging at our shows in the past, as well as Telford and IMSS) talking about judging at competitions and what they look for. This is in preparation for our own Irish Nationals competition at D3 in September. We feel that this may be of benefit to those working on their creations for the competition at D3, or thinking perhaps about entering....

We will also bring along copies of the competition rules and classes for those in attendance, and we will be able to answer any questions anyone may have about these rules on the day. (If you want a preview of the rules and classes, they can be found on this page on the overall website - just scroll down to the end of the page:- http://www.ipmsireland.com/Events.html)

As always, all are welcome!

Philip

PS - at Pat noted at the last meeting, the individual contribution for the use of the venue has gone up from €2 to €5 a head. But there will still be free tea/coffee and biccies :choco:

There may be an expedition on Saturday to the Lighthouse cinema at about 12.45 after the meeting - see the movies thread - any takers (apart from fs2005 and myself?)

There is 60% chance that I will show up on this meeting at last. I will bring my finished ship and maybe the one I just begun.

Looks like I won't make it, sorry. Have a sick daughter who needs minding (and a tired Mother and Father who need sleep)!
