Thanks Vincent, for putting up the shots - for once, I forgot my camera, so you were our only "paparazzo reporter on site" :-"

Next Dublin Chapter meeting will not be a formal meet - so no need to bring any models. We will be getting together for our traditional informal pre-Christmas chat in the
Porterhouse, Parliament Street, at 12 noon on Saturday 20th December, lubricated (depending on ones' taste) by orange juice, water or something stronger, like their
home produced ales and lagers. :>

To soak up the various liquids, the Porterhouse also does a good range of chips in a bucket, burgers, nachos etc etc. :P

Generally, we then go (in a rather uncertain line) from about 1.30 pm, over to Marks, and onwards to Walshie's.......where some of us add to our Christmas pressies, while others
get the necessary paints, glues and other items to participate in the KUTA group build. :bat:

Normal service will then resume in the Culture Box in January. Dates of these to be confirmed later.... .

Dates for the first three Dublin Chapter meetings in 2015 have now been booked with the Culture Box (thanks Pat!)

These are:-

Saturday 17th January

Saturday 14th February (yes, I know that this is St. Valentine's Day - you can pretend that you are going in to town to get her/him a present!)

Saturday 28th March (other dates were not free, so it's little late that month).

In each case, the meetings will be from 11 am till 1 pm.

Hope to see y'all there. Topics for talks/presentations will be posted up later (once we have them organised!)

REMINDER

The pre-Christmas Dublin Chapter get-together :-" will be in the Porterhouse, Parliament Street, starting about noon
(ie when the doors open!), on NEXT SATURDAY, December 20th.

Apart from chat, some bevvys and/or chips etc, :choco: some of us will be bringing our Kit Crindle presents for
fellow modellers.
[Many thanks to Simon (Dasike) for organising this....]

After all of that, there may well be some expeditions over to Marks, and then perhaps onwards up to Walshie's, looking for some bargains... ;)

Hope to see you all there! :>

My name changed! :P
For a change I actually will be there. Although it'll be a flying visit I'm afraid and I didn't realise it was from noon. Figure it would be 11 as usual (whoops) I'll be there but I'm afraid I'll only have a short period of time to hang around

Good session - we arrived bang on noon, just when the Porterhouse was opening, and took over our usual spot in the first floor window area.

In all, 18 members came along - some just for the beer, chips, burgers etc, and others for those, and Kir Crindle too! Good chat was had by all, while thanks were recorded to Simon (Dasike) for his excellent idea of the Kit Crindle. In addition, Mark McGuinness made an announcement about a members-only trip in February (which he is kindly organising)*.

Some of us were later to be seen in Banba/Toymaster, and (so I am told) even further into the northside up in Blessington Street.....

Happy Christmas too all of the members! May your Kit Crindle and/or your Santa present(s) allow you to spend some time with various glues and paints in 2015!

Philip

* I will be sending details of this by e-mail in the next couple of days to all current IPMS Ireland members.
