Ah sure there will be loads !I don't know if IPMS Dublin meetings were ever in single figures .Dublin Modellers Society ones did occasionally drop towards low single figures .Attendance seems very healthy and definitely on the up .
Going to try bring a few models tommorow myself .

All going well I'll be there, but I won't be bringing anything with me, I've done very little these past few weeks...

It goes without saying really but I'll say it anyway. Another good meeting today. Not sure of the numbers. Seemed to be about 20 1/2 people there.

Ronan's A-7. Fantastic to see in the flesh.

I think the next 4 pictures were John's (fs2005). Great models.

I brought 3 Hurricane's along. The first complete with a mini history of the aircraft.

A Forum helpdesk clinic in full swing.

For some Star Wars was taking most of the attention.

Finally, no idea who could have brought this along!

Great pictures Graham! I was glad to get the A-7 home and into the display cabinet without knocking off one of the undercarriage doors! Loved your Hurricanes too, they looked superb.

Question for whoever brought along the Seaking HC 4, will you be doing a build review? And what's your first impression of the kit?
Thanks for the images and nice Hurricanes.

Vinny's I believe .Last months Airfix Magazine had a VERY big section on kit review and research material .

Closing verdict includes:

Kit was an absolute blast to build

Very few kit issues

LIDAR scanning guaranteed an accurate shape

lack of moulded rivets or grilles was a little frustrating

Rest of package more than made up for it

Best 1/72 Sea King now available

You can have my mag if you like .Will you be at next meet ? PM if interested in getting it sooner .

Yep, good meeting and some great builds on display - John's armour and warrior figure, Ronan's Corsair and Graham's trio of Hurricanes. Also had a nice fondle of Murfv's new plastic X wing and Sea King...

On behalf of your Moderating team, thanks too for all the questions about using the forum and hope you found it helpful in some way. Uploading pictures seems to be a regular query so here's a link to the 'how to' on the Forum about that.

Also, this Demo Thread I started on Saturday about how to upload photos will be removed shortly...Tony - you might be interested in the following Decal Link from forum user Brian Kirwan about post war Stranraers and their colour schemes.

All the best,

REMINDER

The next meeting of the Dublin Chapter will be on Saturday 20th February, from 11 till 1 in the Lab.

Jason will be giving us a demo on weathering, and there will be the usual show and tell of models built, under construction or recently purchased, as well as informal chat about things plastic.

All welcome.

Philip

Hi all,

Just want to say that if you have any kits (completed or not) that you'd like to try some weathering on, just bring them along. I'll be focusing on basic aircraft weathering, as Sean has already taken us through the dark arts of weathering armour!

Thanks...
