REMINDER

The next meeting of the Dublin Chapter will be on Saturday 20th February, from 11 till 1 in the Lab.

Jason will be giving us a demo on weathering, and there will be the usual show and tell of models built, under construction or recently purchased, as well as informal chat about things plastic.

All welcome.

Philip
I hope I will be able to join you tomorrow.

Can't make it tomorrow myself, but is there anyone going to be popping into the shop before the meeting? I have paint for someone who kindly asked to see if it could be brought to the meeting so I'd be happy for a hand :D

Yes another great meeting , sure where would you get the likes of it for €2 ?!

Jason I had two questions but decided not to put you on the spot by being the' akward / funny question kid '

I've since got the answer online to What the heck is "Nuln" ? ( 'a city state of The Empire apparently ) but I still need to know where you got the penguin kitchen towel .My 7 year old would kill for it .

Once again a great meeting today. Thanks to Jason for an excellent demo.

I know some but not all so I'll need a bit of help identifying models and their owners here:

I'm afraid I missed a couple of models as I took these fairly early on and there were some that arrived later. So apologies to those I missed.

Looks like a good meeting, sorry I could not make it. I'm also away for the next one which is a shame as I believe it is the long one all about airbrushing.

Thanks for the photos and I hope my P-47 will be finished in time for the meeting in April

Excellent Dublin Chapter meeting yesterday.

25 modellers came to hear Jason's excellent demo/talk on weathering.

Here are a couple of photos of Jason in action, to a rapt audience, to supplement Graham's photos.

There was also a little bit of club business, in that I collected a fair few membership renewals, as well as one new recruit, and distributed membership
cards to those who had organised this with me in advance. It was also agreed that I would continue as Chairperson of the Dublin Chapter.

Our next meeting will be on Saturday March 26th (Easter Saturday), which will be a longer than usual meeting - it will be from 11 am till 4 pm, where
we will supplement the usual show and tell of models and chat with a hands-on session / demo on airbrushing.

Great Demo Jason.
I went to Marks in Greenogue on the way but they only had enamel washes no water based ones? I chickened out, the water based ones scared me enough but I was going to give it a go. Anyone know if there is anyone in Ireland selling water based washes.
Cheers

Heil Mickey!
Get oil paints, Joe. You can mix your own shade - and they will last for decades.

Reminder

The next Dublin Chapter meeting will not take place on the normal third Saturday, which would be next Saturday (19th). Instead, we will be meeting on Saturday 26th March (Easter Saturday). Luckily, it seems that that day is the only one on the Easter weekend when the LUAS will be working.....

We plan to run from 11 am until 4 pm, and (apart from the normal show and tell of models made, partly made or recently purchased), will be majoring on the use of airbrushes. Can I therefore ask those members who have airbrushes to please bring their airbrushes, and (if portable) their compressors, so that those who do not can have some hands-on practice of using the tools concerned....I will also be bringing along a couple of made kits for folks to practice on. If anyone has any old kits that they no longer need, please bring them also.

Thanks,

Philip

Well I will be there and depending on DHL I should have my new compressor and airbrush, so will definitely bring it for lessons if it arrives.
