That's an excellent idea, Pat. Looking forward to it.

Hi Pat. Won't be back from Singapore until the 28th march. Would it be possible to defer the molding demo until the April meeting?. My daughter extended our stay for a few weeks extra. I'm really interested in your demonstration, as you know, and would hate to miss it. I have cut out a template for the subject i was telling you about. Can't move forward as i don't know how to make the bricks. Would appreciate it greatly if you and the other members didn't mind. Thanks. Regards, Gertney.

Erm...we were planning the annual kitswop for the April meeting (which is the usual 11 till 1 time), but no problem having both on at the one time. The May meeting (20th) will be another afternoon one, and Murfv and I will have airbrushes there for folks to try out/practice on..so probably best to go for the April meeting, Pat.

Yes sure no problem. No point doing it without you there Gerry.
It won't take long Philip. It's just to show Gerry how it's done.

Great meeting today, even if I wasn't really aware of what was going on around me!

John brought along a few kits for people to just start making, and I soon got so engrossed with my 40 year old Hasegawa 109-G6 that I didn't move from the table for the rest of the meeting. Philip, Pat and a couple of others also took part with other kits. Great idea John, it was just fun to build for an hour or two and chat about tools and techniques.

So no pictures or anything like that from me, sorry, I could barely even tell you who was there! ๐Ÿ˜€

No worries John, once again, thanks for bringing the kits, such a good idea. I picked the 40 year old Hasegawa kit as I thought it wouldn't matter too much if I rushed and messed up an old kit. Feel kinda bad now as it was an excellent kit, lovely fit and engraved panel lines, and I threw it together! :)

Some more photos from the Dublin Chapter meeting yesterday.

I reckon that there were 13 modellers there (based on what Pat told me re the money collected). Like some others, I was mostly engrossed in the
second table, where John (FS 2005) had brought along some kits for us to "practise" on. Pat had a Soviet field gun (see above), while the rest of
us had various manufacturers' versions of the Bf 109 G. Airfix, Revell and ancient Hasegawa! (well, you can never have too many 109's :adolf: ).

Maurice took a photo of us working, using my iPhone:-

We intend to finish these at the April 8th meeting, and then they will be available for people to paint at the May meeting, when Vincent and I will bring
our compressors and airbrushes.....

However, there was also the table with the usual show and tell of models bought, works in progress and completed. Here are some shots of that table,
and those talking about the models and things plastic:-

And here is a close up of some of the models there. Those who brought them along can vouch for their ownership - unfortunately, I was so busy
with a 109G-10 that I forgot to ask whose they were:-

These two I do recognise. The first is by Jack Swalbe and the second is by Ronan Donohoe:-

And of course I know the owner of these - it is Murfv!.

And this is a reminder that the "What-If" Group Build, with Vincent at the helm, begins today!

Good banter and craic at the meeting, as usual, and particular thanks to John for his excellent idea. :>

The April 8th meeting of the Chapter will be our annual Dublin kitswop, so bring along anything from your stash that you wish to sell or swop.
The April meeting will revert to the usual time of 11 am till 1 pm.

Philip,

Is it ok to bring Jnr along to the next meeting? He can quietly build away at a kit while we all chat/swap/sell etc...

Cheers
Glen
