Pity Glen it was a great meeting. 27 people there and a great range of models including two Irish Army dios one showing a border patrol 1985 and another based in Lebanon 1980, both by Barry Spencer. I'll put up pics later
Brilliant stuff, Pat, credit to the ship you guys are running.

Please do post pics, sounds cool :>
Glen

1/35 AML-30 prototype
1/35 Djibouti BTR-60 with AML-90 turret

And about 100 other part built kits... ;)

Brilliant meeting and turn out the club going from strength to strength also i didn't come away empty handed from the kit swap got some books off Joe and a kit and kit off maurice of a tornado gr1 in 1:72 and a book John fs2005 also brought my daughter along and she was given two kits one of a Curtis tomahawk llb from Joe moran and a HMS astute from Barry Spencer she's chuffed even if she didn't show it as she's very shy but I'm sure she'll enjoy building them so thanks alot it's those small gestures that show exactly what this hobby and club is about having fun, building model kits and encouraging others to do so and that's down to the members and the lads running it who put alot of time and effort into it so well done. Really enjoyed today by the way 😁

Kit swop was certainly an attraction but the "big" attraction was Pat's plaster moulding demo. Well done Pat and thank you. Also lots of completed and WiP builds on display showing both quality and quantity. I'm sure other folk will post pics here shortly.

Great meeting and great demo, was nice to be back after a long winter away, to meet old and new faces. Hopefully will make a lot more over the summer and coming winter too.

Great meeting and turnout - sold a couple of kits (thanks Robert OG) and got a razor saw off John and swapped a Spitfire for a Mig-29 (sure why not!)

Some more pics from earlier.

Pat's making plaster bricks demo...great tips on adding a small bit of paint to the mix (so the white isn't so apparent) and adding plaster to the water, not the other way around :>

Sorry I missed the meeting today but I was away with scouts. it looks like it was a busy one.
Did I happen to spy a 1/72 Tamiya Corsair on the trade table? If it was not sold maybe I could give it a new home :-"

Really like the CAM ship, is that one of Barry Spencer's creations?

Sorry Vincent - I snagged it. Ship Barry was selling it, with resin accessories, for a very reasonable price. (One of two I bought from him).

As others have said, a very good meeting indeed. 27 adults there, plus Layla. Lots of kits were swopped....

I fully endorse Des's comments. The hobby is going from strength to strength, and the friendliness you experience from others at our meetings is most encouraging. I brought in the glider (Gruneau 9) that is in one of the photos above to get advice on rigging, and Joe was really generous with his time.
