Great meeting today. Eighteen members turned up which is pretty good for a Saturday afternoon.
There were three airbrushes available for practice on one side of the room and a lot of models on display. Sorry I have no pics but there were plenty of other people taking shots so hopefully they'll appear in this thread soon

Yep, good meeting and really great to be able to practice with an airbrush and get lots of first-hand tips - thanks to Tony, Philip and Vincent who brought their set-ups and shared their tips.

Plenty of people snapping pics, here's some from me. Feel free to add your name to your model if I don't have it...

Posted Image

Posted Image

Tony's Whippet

Posted Image

Ronan's A-10. Loved the IFR damage to the nose (check out the 1/1 scale version - it's for real!)

Posted Image

Posted Image

Vincent's pair of Stukas..

Posted Image

Tony's (?) Spitfire?

Posted Image

Definitely Tony's A4 Scooter...

Posted Image

Des' Kubelwagen WIP

Posted Image

Vincent's Star Destroyers (Revell - Grey and Bandai - white) Not pictured is Pete's MONSTER Star Destroyer which is the new Revell/Zvezda kit which he brought along..

Posted Image

Pair of X Wings - Mick's (Grey) and Vincent's (White)

Posted Image

And to finish off the Star Wars theme, Vincent's Vader Advanced Tie and a pair of Stormtroopers from Sean and myself..

Posted Image

Posted Image

Some more pics in the next post!

Cheers,
Dermot

Next round of pics from yesterday...

Simon's Gnat WIP...really tiny jet but lovely detail on it.

Posted Image

Mick's Russian destroyer from the Ships GB..

Posted Image

And his armour WIP..

Posted Image

Big Artillery, I think from Tony? If I'm right, this is the modern German Panzerhaubitze 2000

Posted Image

And Sean's What if Air Defense Stryker WIP...

Posted Image

Airbrush corner where you could have a go.. (cheers Vincent)

Posted Image

And some unreal stuff from Barry Spencer...this French frigate (?) was tiny, no more than palm size..

Posted Image

His very tasty modern French Frigate...

Posted Image

His Scratchbuilt WIP Kish Lighthouse.... :choco:

Posted Image

Posted Image

And his diorama of the first plane he saw as a kid, an Irish Air Corps Fouga over Wexford. My photos don't really do this any justice....was terrific.

Posted Image

And there you go. Enjoy your modelling and hope to see you at the June meet.

Cheers FiSe. I only found out they where wood after I'd painted it 😁 might give them a dry brushing of a dark wood colour and see how they turn out or else just try and cover them with stowage and dirt I got some resin stowage of pat at the meeting so it'll come in handy (thanks pat :>)
