There is a temptation to just attribute this to wizardry but the amount of work and concentration involved must be huge. I could spend a long time looking at it.

By the way Dermot the Gloster Javelin was by Colin

Great pictures Dermot.

Thanks to all, for the kudos to Laura for the brack, passed on,
and I enjoyed it as much as ye did, for sure :>

Some of it even made it's way to a member's home for afternoon
tea and cake :choco:

A very enjoyable meeting. Great to speak to those I got a chance
to, and sorry to those I didn't. I walked in when things were in full
swing, daunted by the numbers for sure, what a great atmosphere
though!!

Brilliant to see so many great models, in the flesh, and unbuilt kits
to browse over too. Really looking forward to D6, as is Glen Jnr. See
you all there :)

And about 100 other part built kits... ;)

A really impressive turnout both in attendance (our largest ever?) and table display. Some very impressive work on show and delighted to have met John from IPMS UK. Dermot, thanks for the photos they really capture the day really well.

BTW, the other John brought me in a novel about a Lancaster raid. Unfortunately I had put it down on the table and got distracted chatting to people just before I left and forgot to take it. If anyone spotted it I'd appreciate if they brought it to the next meeting for me.

Sorry John! :$

As I was the last one to leave the meeting room yesterday I did spy a book left on the table so I picked it up just in case it was belonging to one of ours, I will bring it along to D6 for you.

Hi Lads... can I say first off Thanks for the warm welcome for me and my Dad. The two hours flew by before we knew it so if I didn't get to have a chat then I'm sorry for that but maybe you can count yourself lucky. I've had the privilege to attend many IPMS club/chapter meeting in the UK and I have to say the Dublin chapter is amongst the most friendly I've come across,

It was great to put faces to names and it is always better to see these models in the flesh as the photos don't always do the scale justice... I mean both Barry and Maurice's attention to detail in such small scale is truly inspiring. My Dad's favorite was the other Barry's KITT model... I was most intrigued with the Irish Army AML armored car. My own models survived the journey over and back so I'm happy.

A hello to Joe (Moran)... I dug out the 1/144 decals for you and will drop them in the post asap... they come with Dutch and Indian markings as well as the Irish so you'll have plenty to contemplate.

Hopefully I'll get to see some of you again in Telford in November and I wish you guys all the best for the D6 show.
Veni, Vidi, Velcro...I came, I saw, I stuck around.

John I'm delighted you and your dad had a very enjoyable couple of hours at our monthly meet. It was a pleasure having you over and I must apologise for not getting over to you to chat but as usual the chat takes over and before you know it 2hrs has gone by in an instant!
P.s tell your dad thanks for the vote of confidence! 😉

Well if I haven’t had a phone call by lunch today, then neither of the sons have a soccer match and for once I’ll be free to attend, fingers crossed, but don’t hold your breath lol

Pete, If you have your Bandai TIE Advanced finished can you bring it along to compare with my Fine Molds TIE advance?
I would be interested in seeing the two side-by-side?

Cheers
