It’s not finished but as I am attending I’ll add it to the few other WiP I’m bringing Vincent and we can get this comparison down that we have been talking about since before the summer.

Given the weather and the trains are replaced with buses due to engineering works I'm going to pass on the meeting today. Lots of photos please!

Busy meeting with 21 attending not counting children, which given the horrible weather was a good attendance. Loads of good models as well as prospective builds still in their boxes and some very tasty home cookies courtesy of Glen Phelan

Plenty of Photos taken by other members which I'd say will appear soon

Great meeting, nice to be back after a long break, although I promise not to take up so much table space next time lol.

And a huge thank you to Mrs Phelan for the lovely tasty treats as well.

A great meeting today. My kids certainly benefited by getting kits. Many thanks to Ray Flynn and Barry Spencer for those.

Some photos of the Dublin Chapter meeting this morning. As mentioned, 21 modellers (plus two sons of a modeller) braved Storm Brian and the attendant winds and rain to make it to the meeting. Of these, one was a prospective new member (welcome Adam!)

There was a varied display on the table today - lots of vehicles as well as a few aircraft. There were finished models, Works in Progress and new kits, recently purchased.

Here are some photos of the crowd in attendance:-

Now to the models.

Some star wars offerings:-

Then there were the targets vehicles:-

This rather large vehicle WIP by Pete:-

At the other end of the scales, there was this fine pair of half-tracks being converted by Tony Crean:-

Posted Image

and there was also this other bit of "armour":-

Among the aircraft, there was this pair by Maurice, one finished and one a work in progress:-

Posted Image

Vincent had another what-if in progress:-

Posted Image

as well as a kit he had purchased as a future entry in the Don Whitaker Memorial Civil Aircraft Group Build:-

Posted Image

There was also this Mig-29 kit, (not Vincent's), the contents of which were being examined while I was taking photographs:-

Posted Image

(in this photograph, you can also see a kit of the Grumman "duck", which Glen Phelan jnr. had made up, and, to the right, the biscuits
kindly supplied by Mrs Phelan.)

I had a purchase there also, the new tool Airfix Me 262A-1A in 1/72nd scale, which I had bought in Marks Models just before the meeting,
but I have no photograph of it for this thread....

Finally, Pat had brought along a cash box, fresh from D6, which he used to take up the usual collection "for the use of the hall"

See you all next month. In the meantime, there is the gathering in the Hobby Den next Saturday, for those who can make it to Kildare town,
and of course there is also Telford on the Remembrance Day weekend in November, for those of us lucky enough to be going.....

Whilst we'd like to take credit the Grumman Duck wasn't by one of my kids.

I decided to take a brief break from the ‘scene’ between Irish and British IPMS shows and stay at home and do a bit of modeling ( rare enough lately :-( )

Respect for the hardy souls who braved the weather !

I have ‘ Vinnys Viscount ‘ at primered stage .Its a basic kit , the ‘market’ was flooded with them at Telford around 4/5 years ago at a quid or two each .But they’re actually a project size /style I could get to like .Engine nacelles are tricky though ...
