If I can get out of a dreary and pointless meeting,

I hope to be down at Telford sometime Friday.

Who else is making the trip?

Paddy,

I am going over in my car, along with Steve Munsell and Paul Hurley. We will be arriving late Friday afternoon, and returning by the afternoon sailing on the Sunday, so will be leaving mid morning Sunday. I understand that there will be a plane from Shannon, which will contain Alan, Lindsay and Danny, and I think they will be there for both Saturday and Sunday. David O'Mahony will be going by plane, and I think for both days, but I am not sure. In addition, Barry Spencer will be going over on the Saturday by plane, back that evening. Roy Kinsella is also planning to go - don't know his times exactly. One newer member, Mark McGuinnes, is also planning on going.

That's all, so far as I know. If any of the above is incorrect, or if there are others that I have missed, no doubt somebody will enlighten/correct me.

Cheers,

Philip

Philip,

Sounds good, it will be good to see you all again.

I am at the Holiday Inn. I have no real idea when I will arrive

and have a ton of running around but I will be on the stand

from early Sat and all day Sunday, except Sat PM when I will

be wearing the ceremonial robes of the Boss Armour judge .

Has anyone given thought to our piece of the international buffet?

The whiskey has gone down vey well in the last couple of years (pun intended)

and if I can find that Powers I bought in Dublin in Sept

I will bring it along otherwise I will stop off and buy some Seamus O' Tesco

fine Olde Irish Spirit on my way down.

Barry,

Just saw your post.

No problem at all. I am bringing my car over to Telford - Steve and Paul are with me.

I can get it from Alan on Saturday and bring it to the next meeting on Saturday week

Cheers,

Philip

Yep, second that. Enjoy the model-fest that is Telford.

Plenty of pictures needed!

Congratulation to Alan Brislane for getting 'Commended' for his 1/144 EP-3 conversion. A great achievement for IPMS IRL and Limerick/Shannon branch in such a tough competition of the best European modellers.

Yep - will do. I took lots of photos of the show in general, and of the competition models. Paul "Kolbe" was in action, complete with his NUJ press pass, and took far more photos than I did, including the models on most of the club and SIG tables, which I probably missed. However, I will spend a few hours with photobucket tonight, and see what I can do.

My Brisfit hasn't been even noticed, so, no, not me, Liam, not this time anyway... I'd better stick with my artillery

Roy Kinsella made off with a Bronze for one of his 1/72nd Aircraft.
Cannot remember exactly what type it was maybe an SE 5A
I am sure he will be on to confirm.
Well done Allan and Roy. To my untutored eye the competition
in aircraft looked particularly fierce this year.

I'll be loading up pictures tonight - but I'll be putting them in the "photo log" section (that is if Photobucket behaves itself! ^o) )
